So I bought this 5x5x7 off ebay for 170 and the first time I tried to set it up it tore in the same spot so they sent me a new one well a month later I take down my old 5x5 and go to setup the new one again.last night and the fucker tore in the exact same spot execpt this time I was able to actually get the fucker set up all the way(the canvas.seems a smidge to small but got it on) so I emailed the company(apluschoice dont buy their tents) and demanded a refund they said pack it all back up and they will give me a refund.......now should I take it down again and setup my other 5x5 again(support bars are a lil fucked and bowed would have to diy new ones) or should I just keep the pos set up and try to sew/stitch or put a piece of.duct tape over the tear.....im gettin tired of tearing tents down and putting em back up....whats your guys oppinion

Just sew it up. get some good strong canvas or hemp string and stitch it real good. My first tent ive had for a while just ripped a few months ago. I gorilla taped it just cause i was lazy and thats working pretty good for me right now.

Alsos if you have plastic corners then after you make the frame pound the corners down with a rubber hammer if possible.

When i got new corners for my tent they were so new that the tent didnt fit the first time because we didnt pound em down enough. haha

hope this helped

wow unlucky dude i would be pissed i feel horrible for ya :(, but unless you do a perfect job the tent might be prone to light leaks and even worse over time the tear could get bigger and could eventually collapse which can be very dangerous when you have lights maybe even cause a fire and all your plant will be ruined obviously so make sure you fix it properly if your guna still use that tent.

But like im sure you know yourself buy a better tent, i know this is the last thing you want to do as you just bought a tent but if you buy one of these tents it will last your forever unfortunately like most good things there expensive. these tent are the strongest and best on the market i have a 1.2x1.2 and me (65kg) and one of my very light friends (about 45-50kg) can actually hang on the bars across the top of the tent without even bending a little, very very good quality. http://www.gorillagrowtent.com

Thats wat ill do tape

get some good duct tape like gorilla tape. then put on piece on the inside and on piece on the outside and leave a little slack in the rip so the 2 pieces glue can contact each other.

Everyone knows how hard it is to get tape from sticking to tape. haha this also worked for me as a temp fix for my tent.

I use gorilla tape on my tent. Both sides sticks fine. My cat put some small holes in both my tents. I use that tape for all kinds of shit. Puts duct tape brand to shame.

I've made a couple of minor repairs with double sided tape and mylar, stick the mylar to the dst and you have mylar sticky tape, only a really sharp could picked a repair out.

If you're working on the outside try evo stick contact with a material patch both coated... Or spray adhesive on the area then use duct tape, the tape will stick like shit to a blanket if you give a suitable surface to hold.
