do small cuttings root faster than big ones, also if any experts passing by what is a surefire setup for cloning, appreciate any feedback

Yes, smaller cuttings generally root faster than larger ones.

I heard that you should take cuttings from the bottom branches because they contain more of the natural rooting hormone than branches at the top.

both work fine, smaller are faster, the secrete is leave em alone and let em do their thing. no tugging, manipulating etc.
