I think if we eradicated religion as it exists, it would just reappear in a different form. People need something to believe in, for some it's government, for others it's God, for some it's "self" (those people are the most criticized).

True and they do have the right to believe in anything they want as long as they don't infringe on the rights of others. However, we know this to not be the case.

Maybe I did not make myself clear. Cruz did a good job at exposing the media's bias. Let's not confuse that with having a substantive platform. Do you side with Cruz on social and economic policy?

I have not read any Cruz platform itemization, but I imagine agreement in the 90% area based on things I have heard him say.
