Ok so I was looking at a post a bit ago about people ordering off the attitude depending on what promo/freebies is going on. And I seen one guy post about him not caring about that stuff cause he doesn't want to grow that stuff... Like I see these crazy names and stuff and it blows my mind but obviously I am a noob when it comes to knowing whats good and what to look for in genetics. So please tell me what should I be looking for? I have only ordered off there Once and got Blue Cheese and Rocklock Freebie. And i only picked Blue Cheese cause of its name Not really where it came from. So just tell me what some killer strains are. IS there strains for beginners?

I would go as far to say that there are strains that aren't as picky as others, thus they are easier to grow and because they are easier to grow, they are preferred for n00bs. I would say, look for something stable and has good reviews. Go around on this site and check out some of the popular strains being grow. I would recommend looking at TGA's genetics. He pretty much tells you what you will find in a 10 pack of seeds. His site is: http://tgagenetics.com/ . He very clearly describes what his strains are good for medicinally, smell, flavor, color, how big they get, how much nutrients they like, ect. He is also on youtube as Subcool420. I also would check out some stuff from G13 Lab's (I grew Pineapple Express), DNA Genetics, Reserve Prada, Nirvana Seeds, and Barney's Farm. They all have killer stuff. I suggest staying away from Kush's if your new to growing. They can be very finicky.

I would back track strain names to grow logs and take a look at things like node spacings and see if there's any surprise pheno types. Some strains have different phenos that pop up that aren't advertised by the breeders. On the flip side, some breeders advertise a single pheno that's a gamble of whether or not you get the pheno or not.

When I look at attitude it's hard to make a choice since most breeders just show you a top cola right before harvest.

Id stay away from Hazes if I were a noob... They r finicky in my experiences... Ive had great luck, and almost couldnt fuck up when Ive gone with long flowering equitorial sativas like panama red, which I am currently growing on big female of... I liked how easy the Master Kush was to deal with as well... But, like merkzilla said, just do some research into their individual needs and specs, and find one that sounds like it will suit u. I like to look for things like oddball colorations, different flavors, different terpines which suit my various needs, heartiness and stockiness, and avg yields...

well you said you where trying to breed i will give the overview to selecting strains that will breed well,

first off no hybrids anything that has more than 1 or 2 plants genetics is too many pheno to works with.
next you want something that has at least one the originals in it (skunk, haze, northern lights, white widow, blueberry, afgani, Colombian ect.)
my third requirement is a good balance between flowering size and flowering quality the only way to find out about these is to look around online for what people have grown.
4th but most important is flowering time, how long it take to bud

after you can determine that go find some f1 strains, for my program i picked, blue cheese and the WW i already have along with plain ol skunk once you get more strains from more areas you breed out your own strains. but making some good stable strains first is what important to me.

i agree with ganja and want to say the dr green dude is effing nuts to recommend those strains for a newb as haze's are notoriously hard and finicky plants to grow, not to mention the super long flowering times and other issues that can make them a night mare to grow for a new grower...
as for what to grow, i'd say stick with a mostly indica or indica dom strain for the first few grows.. less problems, take nutes well and can yield well ...
