temp control

I'm running a 600 watt hps, in a closet, 13 ft high, 6 ft long, and 2 feet deep. When my light is on, the temp under the light ( where plant tops would be) is over 90 F. This is with the generic reflector that comes with htg hps system. I am using hortilux eye ho bulb. I also have a cool tube and ducting and a booster fan, but have no desire to makes holes in walls, or vent out of a window, with ducting going all over the place. Would a 10, 000 BTU window AC meant to cool a 500 sq ft area be enough to keep temp cool enough for healthy, happy ladies? The AC would be in the window across the room from the closet approx 10 feet away. The size of the room, with the closet is about 130 sq ft. Maybe 150 sq ft. Thanks!

Where do you have ducting leading too? And whats the cfm on your booster fan?
The ac i think wont have mucheffect if the hot air inside closet has nowhere to go and the cold air has nowhere to go in. Maybe if you crack open the door to your closeT

Oh, for sure...I forgot to mention, I have the cool tube, ducting, fan, but have no desire to use them. I'm currently using the generice reflector. And I use the closet for fllwering, so i can keep it open during the daytime, with a 3 ft oscillating fan in the closet, and in the room as well....I think I may be able to keep temos down this way with the AC...
