Hi i have an out door bag seed sativa and i been growin it fir about 4 months, the buds are big and theres pathces of orange pistils here and there but the temps been going to 48 in the morning in jersey! If i can put a pic on here can somebody help me out? And btw i dont have access to a 30x microscope :/ ok i got pics, the first ones the very top flower and the rest i bent the plant back a lil bit so you can see the whole solid buds. The plants only about 2 foot of bud and leaves but since the buds have swelled up ALOT im jus waitin for the pistils to turn but its been so cold in the morning, (48 the lowest now) Do the pistils all turn after its picked while drying? Because there on most of. It and it has lots of trichs. The top buds pistils are still all white as you can see but are like a transparent green. I mean it looks great n smells skunky. But Its like the plants in suspended animation! Lol

looks good man. If it was me I'd let it go the distance. Never done outdoors so just an opinion. When I first started I'd look for any reason to chop early. I'd see a little yellow leaf and think ''is that a bannana'', oh shit shes coming down. Or, ''family is coming over tomorrow I'd better cut her down now just in case the smell''..... I was so impatient, couldn't wait to fire it up but learning to wait pays off not only in yield but quality as well. This was just me though. either way, shes a beut.

......Is it important enough to go pick up a 12 dollar scope at the Radio Shack ? Without it, all your doing is guessing at it. Whats 12 bucks, 3 gallons of gas? A couple Big Macs?

if you're worried about frost, just throw a blanket over it during the night. keep a close eye on weather forecasts and watch out for frost warnings. I live up in canada and we got frost very early this year. actually caught me by surprise and i lost a few plants. plants will live through cold weather as long as there is no frost.

an additional note, just make sure you use cloth. use a thin blanket and seal up the bottom around the stem too. never use plastic or anything like that. thats only asking for trouble
