Temp / humidity issue

It's definitely taking hot air out the tent as I can feel it coming out the end of the ducting into my room, a small steady stream of warm air ...nothing major though ...
 
I feel like your fan is fighting that duct work. Can you reposition your fan so it goes directly out the side of the tent instead of depending on the duct to turn upwards? Also, is there any kind of speed control on your fan? Can you turn it up some?
 
Yeah I'll go give that a go the now buddy , thanks. It's defo taking air out coz when I closed the end of the ducting there the rest of it started to fill out a little , it's not like a pancake anymore lol ! Unfortunately that's it upto the highest level, I'll go buy another fan tomoz I think and add that too ?

Are there arrows indicating direction of air flow? If so, are they pointing to the carbon filter? And what setting is your fan on?

You don't say how big your tent is (LxHxW) but the general rule of thumb is your intake/exhaust fans should be able to completely replace the air in your tent in 2-5 minutes. Get yourself two 6" or 8" fans inline fans depending on grow space (cu. footage), place the intake fan at the lowest level of the tent (coolest air), the exhaust fan and carbon filter at the top of the tent (heat rises). If you want a 3rd fan, oscillating would be fine, inside the tent to move air around, that will work. As an example, if you have a 5'x5'x5' tent that's a volume of 125 cu. feet. In order to get enough air movement you'd need a fans moving about minimum 40-50 cu feet/minute (but more is better). I have a 6.5'x6.5'x7' ft tent and use one 8' intake fan and an open lower vent, and two 8" exhaust fans, they push about 300 cu. ft. /minute each. I'm assuming your tent has cut outs for the fans. Hope this helps.

That helps alot, thanks very much it's only a 1.2 X 1.2 metre tent I'm using but I will look into the calculations tomorrow and try figure out what I will need then , thanks again

My 3' x 3' tent runs a 6" vivosun inline fan and charcoal filter and on the lowest setting it makes negative pressure on the tent and cools it and helps lower humidity a little bit.
