Temp in tent 8 degrees hotter than room

Hey all, i am in the process of setting up a 4x4 tent. The room around my tent is currently 57 degrees and inside the tent it is 65 degrees. I have heard that the temperature in my tent should only be five degrees warmer than the room that it is in. I have not yet hooked up a space heater in the room to get ideal temperature as i am just getting an idea of how much hotter it will be inside the tent...

My question that i was hoping to get an answer to is: Would it be more ideal for me to have my inline fan(400cfm) inside the tent? Currently i have a carbon filter running to my hood followed by ducting and the inline followed by a little more ducting to the attic. I am definitely willing to change my setup if the fact that it is 8 degrees warmer in the tent is not good.

where are you pulling fresh air from?? if you pull it from your room it will equal out the temp differences..

The tent is pulling air from the room via the vent on the side. I attached an ac filter on the vent which is held by the negative pressure.

If the temp in my tent was 65 degrees I'd be ecstatic. I'm not sure what you are worried about. The temp will be different, it won't be exactly 5 degrees different and I wouldn't even worry the least bit about it.

Thanks man! I am still trying to figure out a way to block the light from coming in my intake. Someone told me that an ac filter would work, and that isn't working at all. Will a 90 degree bent pvc painted black be all that i need to accomplish this?

Yes. Flat black paint. Light typically can't bend around corners

Yeah - my grow box always about 10f higher than ambient temp. But - thankfully - my weed can handle 100f temps and doesn't seem any worse for wear. Huh, maybe that's why they call it 'weed'. ??

leaves your window open to get some freash air and that should lower the degree temperetures

You temp is good,just go for it.
