Ok so I have a bit of a problem with my grow room. I can't keep the temperature below 97*F and I can't seem to keep my humidity above 20-30%.
The room is about 11'Lx9.5'Wx7'H. I have the two exterior walls and ceiling lined with IR block. I have plans to do the other two walls as finances allow. I have 15 plants in a DWC system. They are going to grow into 2 8'x4'(spereated into 2'x2' area's) scrogs. They are sitting under 4, 4' parabolic reflectors with two, 600 watt HPS bulbs and 2 600 watt CMH bulbs. For ventilation I installed a 6" vortex fan, 6" carbon filter, and a 6" booster fan through the floor for an intake.
Even running just the 2 CMH bulbs and the fans full speed I hit about 87*F 25-35% humidity. If I run all four lights it hits about 100*F. Having to run the fans 24/7 makes it impossible seemingly to get the humidity above 20%. I had originally intended to run an 8" vortex, but had to settle in the end for a 6"... Is that part of the problem?
I was considering taking down two of the reflectors and putting up a pair of light movers instead(bonus of saving on power). Would that work? If there a more cost effective option? What can I do?
Thank you very much for your time.
