Temperature stuck at 82 degrees

I have a 8x8 grow tent with 6 oscillating fans, a 10000 BTU portable air conditioner, two air cooled hoods, and one 8inch in-line fan pulling air out and a 6inch in-line fan pulling fresh air in. Even with all this my temps are sitting around 81-83 degrees at canopy level. Is there anything else I could do to help cool? What about a second fan pulling more fresh air in?
Thanks for any help on this.

That’s a fine temp in my opinion maybe slightly higher than you’d aim for but still ideal. My temps get up to about 85 F

Yea it’s alright for now but in summer it might rise. And I haven’t added my second 1000w hps light yet so I need it lower.

and all you can do is increase the humidity to keep it in vpd when its hot so they are breathing in moisture through the air and not burning out. your ac will be dropping the humidity for sure.

If you can lower the temperature of the intake air.....that would help.

My grow had to go in a 2 car garage.
Hot as hell in summer, cold in winter, huge humidity swings.

I had to go sealed room with AC as a result.

Would a fan on it do anything? I have the tent in a room in the basement and I can’t vent outside the room. But the room temp stays around 73. It’s blowing cold air but it could be better.

Hmmm. Too bad you can't dump that hot AC exhaust somewhere outside the basement.

The tent guys might have some tricks. Imma tent dummy.

I could possibly dump it into the laundry room next door but I don’t want it to be too hot. As of now it doesn’t seem like the room is too hot even with the ac. It’s just the grow tent that needs cooling.

Yah if you're trying to bring in cooler air I'm affraid you might need to exhaust the ac exhaust into another room. Or possibly intake air from another room that doesnt have the ac exhaust mixed in.

Yea I decided to just dump the hot air into the basement living room.
I got a question I want to get fresh air from another room which will require 25ft ducting and some upward curves, so would it be beneficial to run a second intake fan with the ducting? And what spot would it be best placed? Thanks

Your temps are high because you're running an AC with an inline fan. Your AC is trying to cool the room but will never be able to because your inline fan is sucking the cool air straight out of the room.

Some air conditioners have a feature that allows you to vent air in from outside, the outside air will be cooled and recirculated. This will provide your fresh air and your cooling.

Use the inline fan to exhaust the air coming from your 1000w hoods instead of the air from the tent itself. The lights are the main source of your heat, so vent that air out instead of the air inside your tent.

But it sucks the hot air out and dumps into another room, so isn’t that cooling it? Also when I feel the a/c it has cool air blowing out of it. There’s no way for me to exuast out the lights because the air is pulled into the condition then through the ducting.

And along with that hot air, the air from your air conditioner is also likely going through your inline fan.

Anyway you can get a picture going for us? I'm kind of having a hard time picturing how your ducting is set up just from words and a photo would help.

Your in a basement and only running 2k watts? And sounds like your air cooling your lights. So I would think you could ditch the AC all together with proper venting unless your area is really hot in summer. You need a seperate intake and exhaust for those air cooled lights and then an exhaust fan for your room. The air going thru the lights should never touch the room. If nothing else send that hot air from lights to your laundry room and vent that through dryer duct if that’s only option. The reason I suggest ditching the AC is that it’s making tons of heat if you can’t duct it to the outside. That same heat heats up the ambient temp in rest of basement as well as your air cooled lights doing same thing if not venting outside. If you can lower your ambient basement temps by shutting off AC and using proper air cooling you should be good temp wise and use less electricity.

If you wanted to run C02 and AC in the space that would work too. You would seal up the room so there is no exhaust or intake . Then you would air cool the lights but only with air from outside the room and blowing right back out the room. You would also have to vent the AC which unless it’s a two hose portable would cause a smell issue.
