DONT use red, plants still absorb on the red spectrum so this will disturb them. use the green lights, plants dont use the green spectrum so its not an issue
.......actually they do use Green light, it allows greater light penetration into the depth of the leaf surface (when supplemented to other spectrum colors...on its own its just a night light that it doesnt accept as daylight...but,..once combined..it does have an effect... STELTHY :leaf:

Do you have any scientific papers you could link to so that I can read more about this? My understanding has always been that the green wavelengths are not absorbed by the plant, but reflected by it instead... which is why the plants appear green.

I did research on it online...and used a green LED lamp along side my other lighting...in my latest grow in my 3x3...I did find out that its not essential to supplement with added green as blu caries high green in its make up...and the blue 6500k mixed with say .. 3500k can increase resin production similee to CMH.. as well as allow better penetration of par to the leaves surface and inner leaf tissue... of all colors...also Royal Blue LED band width escapes me at the moment...but that blue allows UV er................A (I think)..to also betterly effect the trich production and quantity... I can give you a LINK to my thread if you want to browse through and see the added green etc...just a heads up...shes a monster...I vegged her for 6 months lol.... - STELTHY :leaf:
