Is 65F too cold for clones that are rooting?
ok well I can get it up to 7-F soon here.70 degrees is fine, but the rooting medium needs to be as close to 75F and consistant as possible
Its hard to tell in the picture. The leaves will yellow as they root as they use stored food from the leaves since they dont have roots to get food. You need a dome cover on them.Is that rockwool you started them in? The hole should have been pinched closed as air will kill new roots trying to form and invite infection. Did you over water? You want the cubes just moist no wet and not dry just lightly moist.Did you pre soak the cubes in 5.5 ph balanced water as the cubes are ph to high from the factory and have to be rinsed and ph dropped then shake the cubes out getting excess water off.
Mmmkay. so the damage is done. what should I do at this point? I will turn off the fan immediately. On clones they dont need fans.Just keep them in the clone dome with like a 4 foot florescent shop light right on top just about touching the leaves til the roots come out the bottom then transplants them into good soil if thats what your gonna grow in.Let me see if I have some pics...Heres a few of new clones with lights on top of the dome and then the same clones at day 12 in soil under plain old T8 commercial light hardwired with a plug (cost $40)
The less stress the better your clones will have. No need to have the Fan blowing directly on them.
done and done....anything else?
Just keep them moist and not too hot/cold. I've done some mean shit to plants and it's amazing how often they pull through.
