Temple ball/ hash press opinions

Hey, I’m about to press my bubble hash (hot water in a wine bottle style) to make a temple ball (well kinda)

I made live resin bubble hash and dried it, I had to do it in 2 different sittings
So basically I washed half of my stuff, put into patties, froze them and grated them with a zester and left it to dry.

so my question is should I mix the 2 runs together as in the 73 micron bag from the first run and the second? The colours are different. Or just press them all separately. I will post a pic of the hash. I’m sure it probably doesn’t matter to much but i figured I would throw it out there to see what others thought49019A5B-3649-4E9F-B4C2-C7494988CFA1.jpegCB565D3D-952A-4FC8-8D57-E8E8599B68CD.jpeg

When I run bubble hash it's to press for rosin. I have noted that the 25u bag seems to catch a lot of cystolith hairs, these are almost pure flavor but little buzz. If you are aiming for purely potency then leave the 25u bag out of the mix, however if you like the flavor then add it. Test a little first and see what you think. Some strains have bigger trichome heads than others and the wash rates on some strains are really poor despite an abundance of trichomes. The best thing to do is test a hit of each grade to see whats what with your strain. With some strains that I know well I will just let the 25u bag catch everything of value, leaving the 45 and 73u bags out. Then just freeze dry and press the contents of the 25u bag.

I think it depends upon how good the grades are. My test is to first see if it is all full melt. If you can dab it on a nail without leaving much residue behind it’s ok to mix those grades. Usually for me the 74u and 45u are ok to mix together. The 90u is not always “fully meltable” and 25u typically contains a lot of resin gland stalks and under developed “pin” heads.
The wine bottle method did not work well for me. It’s too hot to hold onto without gloves imo. I use an old dry iron set on medium and press the hash in between parchment paper. Just keep on flattening with heat for a few secs and fold it in on itself until you reach desired consistency.
Pressing makes for a nicer burn and gives a nice texture plus stronger flavors but I usually don’t even bother unless I’ve got a lotta hash to store long term. It works just as well in it’s present zested form; I just sprinkle it on a bong load at the end of a very long day. To make a true Nepalese temple ball mix the hash with 1 part opium.

I'd absolutely mix different runs of the same strain unless I thought one run was bad or something, but ultimately it depends on what you're doing with it.

The last time I did a bubble run I only used three bags: 220, 120, and 25.

The 220 is plant matter and shit that made it through my filter bag in the washer, this is discarded with prejudice.

The 120 I kept as "farmer's hash," rolled into a small ball, and was rolling out for use in joints before it ran out of itself. It worked well for this purpose, seemed to give them a little extra oomph

The 25 I pressed into hash rosin. It's good stuff, too! Got a 60% return on my press. Dabs are clean and get me stoned. Probably some experimentation to be done here, but at least in my most recent run the 25 micron bag had a _ton_ of hash even with the 60 in there to catch some heads.

Enjoying that full spectrum is where it’s at :)
