Flo would you go back... looking at mine and top them all above the 1st or 2nd node? Even after fimming / topping them yesterday? Or would you wait & see what happens? Thinking I didn't do it right now lol

Forgot to mention that I changed the nutrients too full strength schedule 650 PPM PH 5.8 I used 30ML of Micro 10 ML of Bloom & 20 ML of Nectar. Ladies looked good today after being in there for almost 24 hrs look to be taking it well.

For 2 cut 2 more leaf sets off very close to the "y" of the node you're keeping. Don't trim the little foliage (future buds) between the main stem and branch.

For 4 cut 1 more leaf set off of each.

You will end up trimming the bottom once in a while, as it gets bigger.

Think I may have caught it early... PPM 650 PH 5.8

Thinking about flushing right now with tap water, amquel & some flora kleen in it over night and diluting the nutrients back down.

I also raised the light just now when I saw the browning. 250 W MH Temp around 85 at canopy level.

Tips are curling in & pointed down

New growth is doing fine though just noticed it on the lower nodes

Just take some out and replace with ph'd water until your ppm's are around 600.
They will be fine from what I can tell.
Let them chill at that ppm for a few days, until they grow another 2 inches or so.

I went ahead and did a flush. Going to let them flush over night and mix a new batch in the AM

Changed nutrients to 1/2 oz of Micro 1 oz bloom & 1/2 oz of nectar

PPM 600 on WW & 650 on AK48 not sure where the difference came from maybe from some poor measurement this morning.

This morning PH was 5.8 almost 11 hours later PH 6.5 what gives? 1" rockwool, hydrotron rocks, frozen water bottle to control temps no light getting in or algae I've noticed during any water changes

You HAD it at :

Micro - 30ml
Bloom - 10ml
Nectar - 20ml

Now it's :

Micro - 15ml
Bloom - 30ml
Nectar - 15ml

It's probably fluctuating b/c the ratio of nutes has been changed ?!
Lucas Formula calls for a 1 to 2 ratio of Micro to Bloom : 9ml Micro and 18ml Bloom
RezDog's Recipe (what I am using) calls for 1 to 1.5 ratio, or 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom with KoolBloom added.

These two having a proven formula/recipe that many ppl use. I decided to try one for my first DWC and I'm not having issues with RezDog's.

Yeah I realized I was following the GH schedule but not putting any grow in so I needed to move it on over to Lucas formula, not sure what I was thinking. :wall:

Going to switch to flower here in 1-2 weeks. Girls germinated Aug. 22.

I'm debating on when to switch to my HPS bulb... May do it after this weekend during last week of veg & then after 1 week under HPS I'll cut down light to 12/12 and switch to flower nutes.

I'm not sure still debating... any suggestions?

When to switch the lights, are purely up to you.
Not gonna make a big difference really.
Putting too much thought into it..............lmao

The close up AK pic is perfect for what I was saying about topping for 2 colas.

See the 2 little leaf sets on each side AT THE VERY BOTTOM, if you top RIGHT above these AND below the node above it, they will become your two main colas. They are pretty big too !

If you keep the 2 little ones,above and opposite to them, you will get 4 colas.
Every node you keep adds 2 more and so on.

Then the secondary branches and more, that you get from these can add even more colas. But that's another story which can lead to SCROG (my fav). lol

I was going to top above those branches however I saw the yellowing leafs so I went to the top of the plant... Flo you think I should go back and cut it above that growth? I would probably cut above the smaller growth giving me 4?

Well I did it after Flo's post I went and chopped 'em in half! I'm dealing with space issues and not sure on the final height I know I have 2 weeks left of veg before flower so went ahead and did it (again) lol :hump: Well first time I pretty sure I missed.

Thanks Flo I can't wait to check on them this evening. I am going to switch the light tomorrow evening over to HPS and let them go for another 10 days at least. A few days over a month from seedling in veg before i switch light cycle to 12/12 so 9-10 weeks left I'm guessing I heard AK finishes early, we'll see... also just got some Jock Horror seeds :D
