Tent vs walk-in closet

The problem with the closet (assuming you use photo seeds/plants) is you need total darkness for 12 hours per day, which means door closed, which means trapped heat with lights on, humidity spikes with lights off. Not a good mix. buds will rot from the high rh at night or cook from the hot air with nowhere to go during the day. If your closet is near a window and you have a window fan or AC unit that will help with environmental control.

Unless you go cutting holes in walls or the ceiling like i did and put a fan drawing air outside (or the attic in my case). Without the fan, my rh was hitting 80%+ at night. not sustainable.

Closet is better if you are allowed to cut holes in it for exhaust and what not. Otherwise, a tent is the best way to not lose your security deposit if you are just renting your home.

Do you own? Are you long term stable there? Are you in a legal locale? Closet mods are permanent pretty much. A tent or two can be packed and hid in a day.

Strange how ownership never comes into question.
i have 9 x 9" square in my closet ceiling to the attic. When im done using it for whatever reason i can and will patch that hole to the point youd have to be deep in my sketchy attic to notice. Not exactly permanent.

Thanks everyone I have a massive spare room in the basement two but I just want to grow 4 autos to get some quick smoke so when I run out the outdoor stash I got some ready to go and photos take to long to get me the budz fast enough , any suggestions on autos as I've only used photos

Plenty easy to match texture and finish as a pro. As an owner have at it.

A couple decent lights hung from a hotel type clothing rack.
Easy, cheap and moveable.

I have a rack system in the closet that has two bars that go across the closet to the lights just wanted to see if any one has advice about autos as well as the closet I'd be using is the basement so temp isn't much of a issue but just didn't really know which is better that's all

I suggest you staple gun thick plastic to all the walls and ceiling as a vapor block so you don't rot them out. Get an electric staple gun, your hand will thank you. Cut long pieces of skinny cardboard to press against the plastic and then staple gun the cardboard which then goes through the plastic to the wall. It will hold much better than merely staple gunning into the plastic.

After that I staple gunned mylar to the walls for the reflectivity and put a frame of mylar on the front area that had the black plastic.

Have a humidity monitor to control the exhaust fan, and you might need to consider a dehumidifier. On the other hand a real dehumidifier generates a lot of heat. I really like the ink bird line of controllers.

I don't know if you'd need AC now with LED lights. I packed three 600 watt HID lights in air controlled hoods. I had to have a rolling air conditioner blow in there whenever the lights were on. Even with a constant outflow from all the lights exiting that room and then being piped out my window.

Also I hope you have a very good tray for when the water spills. I did this 12 years ago and cut holes in the walls of an apartment. Start with the couple layers of thick tarps on the floor. Yes I lost my security deposit. They were going to keep it anyway.

I sectioned off the closet with heavy duty black plastic. So the back 6x6 area was the grow area and I still have another 8 ft by 6 ft just to work in. I still tried to stay out of there in the dark period.
