Vortex “x”, my keeper from a few runs ago. Day 42. Of all the times I ran this pheno, not once did I ever smell “baby poo” in her. We’ll, for the past 4 days, I’ve been having to put her by herself, in her dark cycle, in a dark area that unfortunately gets stagnant air (finishing touches on the new bud room). Every time I go to pull her out of her space, there’s without question a poo smell mixed with a fruity smell. But when under the light with fans on, it’s so distant you really can’t smell it, only the odd/fruitiness to her. She’s all staked up with 2 main colas.

Time for those 6 Vortex’s to get transplanted.

6 first gen phenos budded for the first time. Grown straight up, not topped in 5 gal bucket w/ roots and ss. Of these 6, every one is tall except for 1 shorter female. The other 2 that are about 20 days in bud, one is really stretchy tall and the other one is shorter that’s growing weird, probably not gonna make it. Need to find the best one. The tall ones will be vegged up to right below my waist.

As soon as my veg room clears out a little, I’ll be germinating those 20 DQ seeds….

This Vortex is around day 25-ish and the smell on her isn’t impressing me. I’ll finish her out but her clone will probably be killed.

Vortex #8 day 25-ish. Definitely a13 dominant. She stretched a lot. Possible keeper? We’ll see..

All plants are Querkle x Vanilla Tart #1-4 except for the Holy Roller Haze #1 freebie from Genetic Supply I decided to try for the hell of it, and the Querkle #4 momma I kept after last runs pollen chucking… and for a re-veg with seeds in her she sprung back to health pretty well, as it’s been about 6 weeks from harvesting the seeds, I will keep her to get a bunch of cuts rooted from her then cull her and use one of the cuttings as a new mom

Vortex keeper, day 53, going into dark for 2 days them trim her up. No lemons or straight up fruit but kinda like fruit going bad, maybe? There’s no ‘baby poo’ either going on….it was definitely there when I had to put her in a dark room with no exhaust. Couldn’t be happier with her. The best phenos of Vortex are the low/medium ones, imo. Those big yielding lemon bomb Vortex’s I’ve grown can’t compare to this one.

A few pics week 2 for the Cuvee, jillyglue, 2 old ass Agent oranges and a few lemon stilton clones all in living soil. Cant wait to see how these turn out. Got some lemon, got some lime, oranges and hopefully a little funk w the JG. Doing a kaffir lime outsidr in a raised bed as well as an orange turbo. I will check back in a week or so with an update. The jillyglue and cuvee the pussy cat liked the best so they should be dank.

Boy, I’m glad I didn’t kill off the clone of Vortex #8, the one that didn’t impress me with her smell awhile back. She stepped up her game and is giving off light mango/peachy smell. I asked the wife to smell and she could smell the peachy too. Day 35-ish right before the lights came on.

Vortex #10, day 8 of bud, right before the lights came on. She’s stretching straight up, not topped.

I noticed myself sometimes the terps don’t come on right away that was how both my Cuvée f2 and Querkle behaved, then later on plants I thought weren’t keepers were showing me they were very well worth the time and effort after I nearly decided to cull a few siblings out of the bunch prematurely

I grew the third dimension and dried it and now its curing, my god this Third Dimension smells AMAZING. My current cut leans heavy on the Jack the Ripper so its a Jack The Ripper Lemon Flavor with hints of kiwi and coconut.

I have one of Badgers Cuvee in flower at wk5 with no smell smells like a damn houseplant. You saying that its slow to produce terps gives me a little hope it will put on some smells here shortly. Shes nice and frosty but no smell. Already killed off all the clones. Im confident enough to know i wouldnt run that particular plant again. Pop more F2s tho. Sometimes that strange shit happens.

Yeah I had a few that weren’t too impressive but I had one pheno that made amazing bubble hash just not keepers over say Querkle for example, that’s why I have another pack on hand of those F2’s..

But some were definitely slow to pack on the terps so be patient and let us know what happens brother
