So, Sub always would say “if you don’t have 45 days to sex a plant, don’t grow pot!” How about 29 days? The first of 6 garlic bud x Dukes skunks has shown sex on day 29 of veg from seed. All under the new veg cycle. + I have 1 PlushBerry and 1 Vortex in the bud room 7 hours on, 17 off and look great. About 5 days in.

I don’t know if anyone else saw this but I just noticed that Genetic Supply is selling Third Dimension clones.
It’s regularly $150 per clone, and they’re on sale for $120, but with the code April25 they’re only $90 each.
Tempting.

EDIT: Just found out you can get 3 for $225 with this deal and the April25 code.

I couldn't resist a 3D clone

Update on the new 12/1 veg cycle with the Garlic Buds. Thriving in veg under 13 hrs of light, day 30 of veg. They’re almost up to my waist, not topped, and growing FAST! Many of the side branches are almost as tall as the terminal branch. They look like they’ve been vegging under the summer sun. Planning on putting them into bud on day 35 of veg. Plus, I figured it out, with the new veg cycle, I’m saving 155 hours per month in electricity usage and saving 155 hours of bulb life per month, compared to 18/6. I’m sold.

Well, the Garlic Buds went into the bud room when the lights went out this morning. Vegged for 36 days under the 12/1. Definitely grew faster with a different shape compared to 18/6. They look like they’ve been topped but they weren’t. They’re just a hair under my belly button.

I got a PlushBerry and Vortex in bud too. I started them out with 7 hours lights on but a few days ago I decided to do what Joe said, “6 on, 18 off”. So far, he’s spot on with 12/1 in veg and to think I hesitated…..shame on me. To be continued.

Vortex, day 17 when the lights shut off.

PlushBerry day 34. 6 hours on/18 hours off and she’s responding fantastic! Sweet, Berry, grape and even looks like more resin forming on the larger leaves compared to 12/12 and it ain’t my imagination either. Don’t have to water as often and not depleting the soil of food as quickly. Just as green as day 1. No question she looks better than the last run I did of her.

Curious where you got the Garlic Bud and how it smells/tastes..
Spicy, savory, peppery, kind of burnt rubber and outdoors a little bit of cat pissy mixed in. Very unique blend of smells. Outdoors it’s like she’s on steroids. Long towering colas that look like spears.

A local clone only, that was held in a tight circle from at least 1998. Funny story…I recently reconnected with an old friend I got the clone from, that I haven’t seen in over a decade. When I told him I still got it, his jaw dropped on the floor because those guys, for whatever reason, lost it. The kind of guys that don’t go on forums, don’t bud indoors but keep plants alive inside all year. Corn fields, fence rows or wherever they can, outdoors. Never been to any cannabis event(nor have I and have zero interests in that stuff) He raved about the plants they put outside now, and I believe him. He didn’t say how old it was but said it’s just as good easily as the garlic bud(they never called it that. I think they use to call it Skunk #9 even though it doesn’t smell like skunk). We talked about a trade but he would have to talk to someone about it.

+ with my new lighting cycles, it’s kicking butt and looking the best I’ve ever seen it. But that’s just my opinion and I’m a nobody.

I still believe the best pot out there is in tight circles or just held by one person out in the middle of nowhere. Things that we think have been lost but are quietly held onto.

And that’s all I got to say about that.

Very true man, it’s those kind of guys I have found that have the strains and varieties many would think are “lost” to the public.

But folks are still running amazing genetics from long ago, just not everyone is in the know in that regard.

Peace!

There might be a very very good cut of Lord Liquorish available in the next 3 months online. It is fire.

Not to beat a dead horse... but does yours have any similarity with the above? I purchased them several years ago, grew one and it turned out male... growing another is on my list of strains to grow but I've heard some bad things about these guys and its kept me from moving forward...

I don’t think so. Mine is different for sure with more sativa in it. Big stretch outdoors, long colas.
