TH Seeds Mendocino Madness

All right I have started the thread on this strain from TH Seeds called Mendocino Madness.

I dropped the seeds in soil 2 weeks ago and have been watching them grow now and is is a fast grower. In 2 weeks they have jumped up like crazy and filled in fast. I am hoping to be sexing them out by the end of the month.

What I am looking for is the fastest flowering with the best effect, then when I find the couple the fit the parameters then I will narrow it down to biggest yield for the best effect.

this strain is said to have a 5 week pheno but is ultra rare. but from what I have been told 45 to 50 days is the normal.

The few pheno's in the strain:
Fast growing massive single cola 7 weeks <--Great high nice taste 80% milky
Fast growing mid size single cola 6 weeks <-- Good high nice taste 80% milky
Slow growing bushy plant that is 10 weeks. <-- Don't mess with better 10 weeks strains to grow.

As you can see from the start it does show the passable different phenos so we will watch them and see what happens by the end of the month.

Here is pictures of the seedlings in week 3 from seeds. Some are starting to show nitrogen deficiency already, they are the biggest plants that show this. Last week I watered them with Old Age Organic Humic 12 just to beef up the soil they are in. This week I will hit them with 1 mil of sea kelp per liter.

Ok so here is the seedlings in week 4 as you can see I was able to fix the deficiencies that were starting to show. As we can see rows B and C are doing better then row A. I am sure glad I got more then 10 seeds to find the right pheno.

I have some pictures of what I am thinking is in the ball park for the right pheno on this strain. The way it is growing and the structure the main stem is doing makes me believe it is.

Then from there is will be what one give best yield vs. taste and effect. Fingers crossed. As we know we can change the growth pattern with LST-FIMing-Super Croping.

Row A sorry for the bad pic some one was knocking on my door.

Alright on 9/18 I started the plants that I know were good ones on a real diet of Dyna Gro Foliage Pro and I am still keeping the Humic 12 and Sea kelp in the mixture from Age Old Organics.

Per Gallon:
12ml of Foliage Pro
6ml of Humic 12
6 ml of Sea Kelp

OK so on 9/19 I just took cutting from the 4 best female plants that had the best structure. Now we will see what ones kick the roots the fastest. Also this 4 plants have already grown new stems from the nodes in the last 24 hours that are 1/8 inch long and the are stacked like a centipede legs with spacing ever 1/4" up the main stem.

I will try to get some pictures of the main stems in the next week since I just took cuttings. Plant B4 I think will be my male keeper, he shows the same structure as the 4 best females but has balls. He is growing just as fast as the four females that I took cuttings from.

Cuttings:
C6
C5
A6
B1

OK so today 5 weeks from seedling I have pulled some of the plants out and trashed them. 3 were with no Endo Maxx and two were with Endo Maxx.

A1 - A5 are all gone now, they were not worth keeping or even giving away.

Ok so here is the four best looking females that I have taken clones of to grow out to test best taste and effect vs. look and smell. As you can see from the other pictures of the ones I killed off they have no main stem stacking and still have not shown sex after a week of 12/12. The ones that did show sex went back to veg lighting times.

A6 is still my favorite plant so far.

For me it goes like this.

2.Taste
3.Smell
4.Looks
5.Yield

OK so today 7 days after taking the cutting I have 2 that have kicked roots and they are A6 - C5. I just stuck them into a rapped rooter with no rooting hormone and no heating pad. I think the other 2 will kick by day 10.

I transferred the 2 that kicked into my grow room this morning and will take pictures when the lights kick back on.

Ok here is the picture of the two mendo's I added yesterday, I also added the other two mendos I had that kicked roots the next day.

I am also taking cuttings of the rest of the females to test out at the same time to see how well they do. I will take another picture to show the two when the lights kick back on.
