G'day, all going well even though had rain the last few days but nice and sunny again today. Anyway just wanted to say Dad's just harvested his second lot and onto his third since I planted these sativas. This lot he ran OG Godfather, said it looks like he's got the same amount from 5 plants as he did last time from 10. Hope mine look like this soon. Cheers.received_706680320879074.jpeg

Just made it through your posts. I love the outdoor scrog. Your plants look beautiful! That sativa is eye catching for sure. Did you have a source for a local heirloom cultivar?

I like to see the challenges you deal with in your environment, totally different than over here. I've got high winds, thunderstorms with hail, hot/dry summers over 40c and up to 45c, cool/humid autumn harvest hoping for little rain to avoid mold (not so lucky this year).

Still plugging away, majority of plants are approaching their final month thankfully. Nice to see how each plant is coming along a little different. One of the clones have been turning purple, also has smaller more compact buds, another plant I only gave 6wks veg has massive buds and is now starting to fill out and get very heavy. Will be interesting to see the end result between the 4mth veg plants and the 6wk veg plant, provided they all make it to the finish line. Here's the 2 clones and short veg plant. Cheers.20221126_071452.jpg

Spewing, pulled a few caterpillars & bud worms from the outside 3 plants today. Don't feel too confident in how they're going to pull up after all this fu@king rain we're having. Best case scenario will be a decent loss to the mold from the grubs. Have identified a seed or two in each plant though, so it won't a total waste of time I guess. Cheers.

One drama to the next outdoors, have learnt a heap though! Hopefully get better results for less effort next time around...thinking I may even move indoors next year.
Do you use a dehumidifier?

I use humidifier and the dehumidifier. For now the dehumidifier is actually an aircon, and humidifier is hooked on he humidity controller that offsets the aircon to keep the humidity in 59 to 60 rh range.

My next indoor grow will be 10 plants, which will be too much for aircon to handle, so will buy dedicated dehumidifier and hook that up to my controller to keep it in range.

All people that grow outside how the same issues as you. Bugs and rain, and i thought about doing it but dont have a solution to those two problems.

I'm in Northern Thailand too and have been having same issues; first it was termites, now its caterpillars!
This is my first grow, I sure have learned a lot!

Been a rough year for bugs and weather that's for sure! Have any pictures how you're tracking mate?

Snipped off a couple dozen branches today as I couldn't access them well enough to remove the leaf septoria. All good, I'll keep plugging away with what remains. What a journey!20221207_103140.jpg

Looks amazing I may have missed it, but what strain is it? So unique
Cheers, unfortunate about the weather as I'm sure they could do much better without the wild weather they've had all year. Hopefully have a crack inside next year.
I'm not sure of the specific strains sorry mate, Thai landrace of sorts, they're all grown from seeds that I've collected over several years from the best heads I could find which were grown high up the mountains by the hilltribes people in Northern Thailand.

Spewing, not looking good. Just ripped out the biggest girl (nicest and biggest buds of the lot) due to mold from caterpillars. Very disappointing to say the least knowing the rest probably won't make it either for one reason or another. All good, will never again grow so unprepared and if I ever get leaf septoria again I will be tossing the plants immediately, not worth the time and energy fighting it.

Looking forward to trying indoors next year. Should eliminate many problems I've been encountering this grow season. If I can address the main issues I had this first proper attempt at growing I will hopefully get a result at the end. Some things I hope to control;
-Temps not going from 10°C at night to 35°C in the day.
-Humidity not ranging from 35% - 90%.
-No Non-stop rain and no sun for most of the grow.
-No Moths-Caterpillars-Mold.
-Reduce privacy issues.
-Control light timing.
-Provide better access to plants.
-Provide better constant moving airflow.
-Cleanliness, need to prepare a better environment before beginning the grow.

If I can get all of those major concerns sorted, then I should be able to focus on the new issues I'm sure I'll face once going indoors such as light intensity and light height, water will now be coming from city water source, not fresh from river on the mountain so I assume I'll have some issues there if not monitored. Training methods, need to keep improving how, when and where to train the plants for easiest maintenance with high yield etc.

Anyway, what a shame to have put so much energy into these plants over the last 9 months to possibly end up losing them, I guess chalking up the experience hasn't made it a complete waste of time. Cheers.

Op, what are you doing with your trim? You could make many oz of kief to be pressed into hash with that much foliage.

Really nice to see others growing in thailand, I live down in the south and will be running a 4 plant RDWC soon just waiting for the tent to arrive.
