Dont worry Johnny, we will be paying attention when this crop of clowns gets into office..........many have a hard time getting through a damned debate or speaking to a HS class...cant wait to see them govern :-)

I can hardly wait to see all these teabagger crazies running the house, the tan man orating about there's too many blacks and latinos in country, sharan Angle in the senate trying to repeal everything including health care, SS, VA, Medicare, all her minions dancing around their version of the "constitution". Yeah a real tea party going on. I just hope the democrats have the balls to filibuster every one of their "give to the rich" bills. Hell, I'm even thinking about voting for Sharon Angle myself, whoa, I just woke up from the worst nightmare in my life, rescind that thought.

The only thing I am asking for in this election is for the Democrats to be driven from power. :clap:

At this point, the leading indicators predict I will get what I ask for.

Now if that happens, and the Republicans take at least the House and seriously dilute the Democratic majority in the Senate; don't be surprised if the teabagger movement joins you in paying attention, too.

If the Republicans forget why they have been given a second bite at the apple they will pay dearly in 2012.

meh, i've given up on it. reps will have the house and 49-50 seats in the senate, if not more.

all i can do is ask for more entertaining gifts like this, which seem to primarily come from tea partiers.

say there, suppose you voted in de this year. would you go coons, o'donnell, or write in? i can understand the whole wanting to drive dems from power thing you keep repeating, even when it would be against your best interests like in the case of russ feingold. but to vote for someone who has no idea what the 1st, 14th, and 16th amendments state? would ya do it?

I hate to admit it but I do get a horrible thrill/horror out of seeing some of the stuff/candidates in this cycle. Its like watching a horrible car accident. you know you probably dont really want to see what youre gonna see; but you just have to.

How do people like that even get this far in politics? That's sad that this is the best candidate they have to offer in Delaware.

actually, the acceptably moderate mike castle would have won in a walk, basically giving the repubs control of the senate. but as we keep seeing, tea partiers like to vote AGAINST their own rational self interest.

and yes ink, i am getting the same sick thrills out of spectating this election season.

In the exchange with Coons, she asked the Democrat to name the five freedoms enumerated in the First Amendment and he did not. O'Donnell said she and her aides were "literally high-fiving" each other after the debate because they thought they had cornered Coons,
"It's really funny the way that the media reports things. After that debate, my team and I we were literally high fiving each other thinking that we had exposed he doesn't know the First Amendment," O'Donnell said. "And then when we read the reports that said the opposite, we were all like 'what?'"

little does she realize the audible gasp and uproarious laughter from the crowd is directed AT her, not WITH her.

on the plus side, the tea party plans to recruit more coloreds!

yes, aware that it is satire.

the tea party looks more and more like a caricature of itself with each passing day.

hell, it only took a day or so after the naacp asked them to repudiate the racist factions within their party before the 'we don't cotton to this whole emancipation thing' letter came out.

satire cuts to the truth quicker than anything else.
 
The tea party prides itself for being a leaderless, diffuse movement. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. But there's a reason successful political movements have clear leaders who set the tone and enforce discipline for the rest. Without that any movement is likely to destroy itself in short order.

Christine O'D will be a fox news commentator next year some time. I look forward to some thought provoking insight from her once she's freed from the constraints of politicking.

Sorry for the delay in answering, Buck. Hell week just ended at the CISCO Academy and now I am enjoying a cold beer. It was hard going, but I dug in and got 'er done. So I am happy to report that I have completed the first phase out of four total. And I managed an 'A', but just barely. I'm talking one hair on my ball-bag barely.

Anyway, to your line of query. Happily I have never had to consider it, but I will do so because you asked.

It's fair to say that the bewitching Ms. O'Donnell was nominated with the help of infiltrators who decided it would be a safer bet to take their chances in the General against her versus the sure thing in the form of Rep. Castle, the Liberal Republican candidate.

Having said that, I would vote for her.

Here is my rationale:

Yes, she's ignorant. But that is correctable. Just a little education is all she requires to understand the way of the teabag.

And as she has hitched her wagon to the Tea Party she has committed herself to the principle of limited government. Even if she does not understand all that that entails, I'm confident she will should she be elected.

But, ultimately I would feel comfortable voting for her because she does not have a chance in hell of being elected. Lightning won't strike twice in her case.

Like I stated previously; she is a rodeo clown. She keeps the bull distracted and the crowd entertained.

Nothing more.
 
congrats on the A in cisco and the cold beer! hopefully you have a while to kick back in the politics section before phase 2 starts. no such luck for me...as soon as i finished off the shower, the wife got the itch to move...and so yet another growspace is in the works now (plus moving everything).

and thanks for the rationale, i find it....acceptable. yet a bit scary. sure, she's coachable, who isn't? but still...

ah, fuck. i would vote for greene in sc, and he is...just plain fucked. so i guess it goes both ways.

First off boy the name is Tea Party. Leave your sexual fantasies out of it.
The race card has already been played and failed miserable. But coming from you and another of your posts filled with no substance it's not surprising. Obama and Biden when asked, said the Tea Party was not racist. When the issues from the ones YOU back are failures, it's always good to avoid them.

The Tea Party is about lowering the debt and smaller government. The Tea Party candidates replaced the ones who have sold us out. If they don't practice what they preach out they go. Newbies are easier to vote out.
