muffin- honestly you should try your best to get that 400w up and running. you will thank yourself a thousand times when you harvest. as for your idea of adding more lights- absolutely you can but it gets messy with lights everywhere and having to constantly adjust them to right areas due to growth. as well you still wont get near the yield of your hps.

buy more of the bowl reflecters take the reflecters off buy Y splits at lose for like 2 bucks go buy a shit load of 2700k biggest watts you can find put 4 at the top then 6 on each side and maybe more depends how much more they grow so either spend the doe on a hps or have cfls everywhere me myself im cheap so i put cfls everywhere =)

Those CFLs add up fast though! I tried growing with just CFLs for a while and in the end it cost about as much as a 400 watt HPS. Now the guy at the hydroshop has me almost convinced on spending the cash for a 1000 watter.
Sorry I've been absent for a while. Just thought you guys would like the final tally, depressing as it is. 5 oz total! Granted it's pretty good stuff, I was really hoping for more. (this adds to the wanting a 1000 watter

Those CFLs add up fast though! I tried growing with just CFLs for a while and in the end it cost about as much as a 400 watt HPS. Now the guy at the hydroshop has me almost convinced on spending the cash for a 1000 watter.

O totaly go for that hps if i had the money i would have one to and as for power my power bill i couldn't even tell a change in it until i started runin fans then it goes up a lil so i spend more money runin 2 fans then i do with all my cfls lol and i wanna see some picks of this 5 ozs give us some porn

good job on the final weight. 5 oz is a good harvest so dont be depressed. im sure your next grow wth this strain will be better. always takes trial and error to perfect things.

Thanks Littlegrower. The next grow is coming along a little nicer. At least if the two biggest from it fill out better. But now the clones from that grow!
I put one of them in a bubbler system with some hydrolux and it's just gone insane! I'll get some pics when I have more time and post them.

Man, it's been awhile since anyone's been around.
I'm just popping back in to add, anyone growing this strain is going to need a hand microscope. The hairs on the THC Bomb are absolutely not indicative of ripeness. The clones are at the same point I harvested the last ones (roughly 80% red hairs) and, after looking with a microscope, the trichomes are just turning opaque. Not an amber trichome on them yet.

hey I'm really sorry ive been slacking on the updates, honestly there isn't that much to say, ill be back on track this sunday. i did however put in that HPS and have been using it for little over 2 weeks. i got a 400 HPS and a 1000 metal halide, which should i use?? i only got 5 plants in the flower room and i'm trying to keep cost down. i heard metal halide is more for veg.

good idea on putting in the HPS. im sure your plants have really taken to light very nicely. MH is better for veg but i have seen mutliple grows using them by themselves and with HPS. with just MH they produce short fat little buds but with the mix of HPS and MH its pretty freaken good haha.

You heard right Muffinman, metal halide has more of the blue end of the spectrum that your plants would need in veg. But 1000 watts . . . That is a lot more light than a 400 watter, honestly I'm not sure which to go with.
Sorry for the delay in reply Littlegrower. The plants I'm getting pretty close to harvesting would probably break the camera. I'm not sure what went wrong but they are ugly. I think the timer for the pumps might have gotten messed up and not watered for a day or something but at one point they wilted and just never came fully back.
However, my newest little girls, they are the apples of my eye. I've been toying with just keeping my HPS both insanely close (for the girls in the eb and flood tray) and a little further back (for the girl in the bubbler) the bubbler started out ahead but . . . well you can see in the pic the girls in eb and flood are my favorite.

hahha im sure theyre not that bad zieg. those plants in the second pic look pretty killer though should be some good ones when it comes to harvest. the first pic looks a lil mixd up so i kinda got lost haha. its really hard to keep plants perfectly healthy in hydro. i used the bubbler for my last grow and the plants had complete yellow leaves so dont be ashamed cause it definetely happens especially with not alot of exp.

that plants are HUGE, a bit too huge, but anyways the buds are commin in nice. the third and 4th pics is the bomb in flowering. im going to take the others and flower them tonight. i would think there would be more bud by now.? i took some clones about a week and a half ago and planted the rest of the THCB seeds we had. all was good till my buddy dropped the clone tray...FAIL!! but it is what it is. hopefully they recover fine. i think im gona stick with the HPS cause the 1000w will cost too much right now. let me know what you think

the plants are budding hard now, i moved the two other bombs into flowering about a week ago. the second and third pics are the bomb, and buds are comin in everywhere plus the smell is kinda taking over the back of the house. i put the clones on 12/12 and im going to transplant them to bigger containers for more room to grow this week. i figure if they were on 20/4 and i put them outside in may they would start to flower.
anyways wheres everyone at??

the THCbomb that has been in flowing is 2' 5" the other one is 4'2" and the last was a male so we gave him the boot. the three mids are all from 3'-3'5"
pretty nice though, 5 outta the six plants i got were female. and the clones are taking real well. we have 20 clones and 6 seedlings that will make it for sure and about another 10 clones look kinda sketchy.
