The 12/12 Jad3d Grow

Just noticed the tubing going into the pots...for watering? If so and if that is the only way you are watering, you may be getting dry pockets within your container. If so you may need to water from up top. "Prime" your pots with about a liter of water, wait half hour then water til it runs out clear. So basically just flush.

hey,

Yeah, that was an idea that never really worked. I started out by watering them like so, but most of the water tended to just run off the bottom. So I've been watering from top down ever since the beginning. And yeah, I've flushed my pots, and am giving them straight un-chlorinated tap water now.
Also, since my pots are all 1L airpots, I've been feeding like 100ml daily or every other day depending on wether I want to dry out the pots. And it feels like it's so little water. but the whole soil get's soaked. I'm guessing these pots are just too small to get anything worthwhile...

i think this set up has real potential man verry pretty! have you thaugt about hanging the lights vertically between the plants? i think that would work very nice in this space. :)

and about the plants i think they got burned by the nutes or something, if you have a good fertilized soil you can wait 2-3 weeks before giving nutrients. i use 3 liter pots (3gallon) and water them with 1 liter water every watering and then wait for it to dry completley before watering again. When the soil is almost dry and you barley feel any moisture when you poke down your finger, then you know they need water the next day. I water them the frist thing when lights go on by first giving them plain tapp water 1/3 of the pot size, then wait untill night and give them same amount again but mixed with nutrients. I've heard they get shocked if you put nutrients in dry soil and that they sould drink water until they are not thirsty anymore and then slowly take up the nutrients after :)

but i am a beginner aswell so i might be wrong but a experienced grower told me this is how you do it and it has worked very well for me this far!:) also again! i really think you should hang the lights down vertically, and seperated 1 by 1 so you could adjust them as the plants grow. because then you wouldnt need the reflectors and all the lamps would use 100% of its light. with cfl the lamp needs to be verry close to the plant for good results, i have mine about 5cm from closest plantmatter :) Other then that i think this grow cab look awesome! someone mentioned the foil making hotspots but i dont think that is what troubled the plants, just a little over loved is all :) really hope it works out fine im sure youre next grow will be fantastic! hope this helped and im sorry if my english isnt 100% hehe :) blessings and love <3

Wow thank you for the kind words! =) Much appreciated!
And thank you for your tips! I wrote all of them down haha.
About the lights... hanging down would be the best way, you're right, but with the setup I have right now it's not simple to change the lighting configuration, so I'll just wait for this grow to come to an end (one more month and a few days).
And yes, I also feel confident about my next grow. I've been learning alot over these past few years, but this time I recon I've learnt the most. Fingers crossed! =)

Hey guys,

I've come to the conclusion that this grow is coming to be a big waste of time. I'm really sad how everything came out so far, and I can only hope for a better luck and outcome next time.

So far I've learned to stay away from soil, because I'm being a mess. So, next time, no soil for me.

On top of everything, the other day, I let a bulb fall on top of the little Devil's Weed, and I broke it's fuckin' head off... I taped it back, and a few days later it's still green, but now I've lost most hope for it.

SO now, the update continues only with 2 TINY girls who look like they are still fighting.

This is the Hijack, the smallest and youngest of the group, that now has come around and is trying to fill up a little. I don't see many ways in which it can surprise me now, but oh well.

At least it's starting to glisten. I hope it does indeed grow a bit more bud mass. But I'm very unconvinced.

This lady has lived through it all and even though it's a miniscule bud, I really think I will enjoy it's smoke.

And look at that! Aren't those some amber trichomes alreadystarting to show slighlty, around those upper brown pistils?

How longer do you recon I should wait till "mini-harvest"? a week? more? less?

What would you guys do?

Thank you for checking my grow out, I promise my next one will be different!

yeah, thanks!

I recon, since I started it, I shall as well finish it.
Even though I'm bummed that NOTHING went according to plan, at least it looks like I might be able to make a TINY smoke report haha

don't think of it as a waste of time man .. you're learning a lot by doing this yourself . next run is gonna be that much better .
Nothing wrong with growing in soil ..as long as you do it right . Idk where you live but emergency Mylar blankets are easy to get and they're dirt cheap . put that up instead of the foil.
and put a PC fan inside to move the air around . I've had it pointed directly at my plant since day 1 and no problems so far . My setup is similar to yours and I know you can make it work just fine

Thanks man!

I know it's not a complete waste of time, but when things go this badly it sure feels like it haha

I've bought mylar now, and a few more fans. I intend to ditch my grow bucket and grow inside a big cardboard box I got my couch in! haha
So I'll be lining the inside of the cardboard box with the mylar, and using the PC fans for circulating air in and out, and also for circulating air around my plants!

Thank you for your advice and your kind words!

awesome stuff =)

I am also thinking of putting 3 of my fans for exhaust. And then I have 3 more which I was going to put as intake fans. 3 in 3 out. What do you think?

Btw, my box is 4 feet high, 2 feet deep and 2 1/2 feet wide.

if you have to go with active intake then I would do 2 fans for intake and 3 for exhaust . that way you'll have 1 left for inside of the box .
are you gonna use 12v adapters?

I have 6 PC fans and 1 mini desktop fan which I'm going to use for inside the box. And yes, my PC fans are powered by 12v adapters.

Hey friends!

SO, no radical changes, as expected, but here's a last update before I harvest the first mini-plant... =P

I can only imagine what this plant would look like if I had been able to bring it up normally like you pro growers...

Mostly milky. About 25% browning. Harvest will happen in 2 to 3 days. It is TINY but it STINKS up my room!

This girl is in her final micro-packing. The tiniest of bud is starting to get it's milky trichomes.

Even my Bonsai Grow had bigger buds than these... I just hope it turns out to roll into a nice, SMALL, and tasty joint...

This plant is far less resinous than the Super Bud. I'll have to compare smoke tests later.

And this is the poor baby I beheaded by accident. I taped the head back on, and it healed. Too bad it won't make a comeback from this state. so... no bud from this girl...

It scarred nicely,as you can see. And at least I learned how to repair broken limbs, so I guess it wasn't a complete loss... Lessons learnt.

So yeah. In a few days I'll chop the first girl up and take some pics.
I know this turned out to be a disappointing grow overall, but I feel like I learned allot from all the mistakes that made it turn out this way, and next time I'll do a better job overall.

Keep tuning in. I'm making a smoke report in the end. I know it sounds like a joke, seeing how much I will yield. But it was a good learning grow, and I'm going to take it to the end.

Thanks for your support everyone.

Yo,

As of today I have mini-harvested my first mini-plant. xD

It yielded the grand total of 0.63g WET!

Now I can only hope for the drying and curing to turn it into an epic smoke, or it'll be an amazing letdown. =P

Without further ado, here are the chopping photos:

And that's that.

I'll give the Hijack another week. And then I'll chop the remaining two.

Thanks for stopping by guys!
