I'm a small grower and nutrients are maybe 5 - 10% of my total costs so why not support a Canadian company that makes a damn fine product. A great many commercial growers, pot and other plants, use and trust AN so ask them if they like paying for water why don'tcha.
After years of chasing the pH goalposts just not having to screw with that is worth twice the price. My power to grow them is the bulk of my expenses so find me a better deal for that if you want to save me money.
I don't know why people like you concern themselves about what other people use to grow their pot with. Is it the troll factor or just the need to feel superior for some demented reason? I've used Peters, Jacks and MegaCrop among others over the 40+ years I've been growing and AN has been consistently the best performer. Their only supplements I use are Big Bud and Rhino Skin for a little silica in DWC. $250 for enough nutes to last 5 years and fill my freezer with pot is not something I worry about. I'm spending that much every month to power my lights FFS. At 30¢+/kwh it adds up fast. That's why I have 12 autos growing out in the garden this summer. I can stock up with the best grow light on the planet for free and cut back on my indoor growing tho with all the breeding projects I have in the line-up I doubt I'll save anything. At least I won't add to it I hope.
Live and let live is a good attitude to have and you'll live longer and have less stress which I hear is a real killer.
