The Best Afghani strain?

Hello everyone, I am trying to find the best Afghani strain- in regular seeds.

I did Afghani #1 by Sensi Seeds, and I really loved the narcotic Stone, and it had a really fruity flavour; one of the best varieties I've ever smoked to be honest. I haven't got any experience with any other Afghani strains, and would like to try some Afghani strains from other seed banks. I am looking for something which is 100% indica, so am not interested in a strain which has been crossed with Skunk#1 or anything else for that matter, (apart from northern lights which is also an Afghani).

The strains I have been looking at are-

Pure Afghan - DNA Genetics
Afghani - Home grown Fantaseeds
Maple Leaf Indica - Sensi Seeds
Original Afghani#1 - Seedsman Seeds

If anyone has experience with any of these strains, or any other regular all Afghani indica's; then please post your comments.

mr. nice has a nl5 x afgan right now. but i wouldnt really go with any of the ones you listed. maybe devil from mr. nice, or deep chunk from tom hill.

how did the afghani grow go?

The Afghani #1 is a really nice smoke. In vegetative stage plant growth was very uniform. But in terms of flowering traits there seemed to be 2 phenos; with the 1st pheno, the buds were pretty fat, rounded and quite a lot of white hairs (exactly like in the picture for the strain on sensi web site). The 2nd pheno in my opinion was slightly better, as it had a slightly better flavour, buds were a bit denser, and it was also slightly stronger than the 1st pheno; both yielded the same, and were pretty similar in terms of smoking them, it's just the bud formation on the 2nd pheno was nicer looking.

It had an orangey fruity sort of taste that really lingered in the mouth. The stone was a real couch lock, heavy on the eyelid type of hit.

DNA - LA Confifential (LA OG Affie x Pure Afghan) is probably the best Affie on the market. It has super pungent smells and real thick tastes on the right pheno. Just look for the Bubba Kush looking pheno's. That or Deep Chunk from Tom Hill.

I've been growing out Seedsman's stuff, there SKunksxHaze, currenlty their skunk no1 in the cabinet which I sampled a little snipit of lastnight and I have their White Widow in Veg. I have been pleasanlty surprise at the germ rates, growth, and yeilds and the quality of the high each time has come as advertised. I wouldn't hesistate to try their Afghani #1 and in fact it will be on my list after I try the White Rhino I have Vegging right now for my current couchlock needs. Good hunting.

@ stonedmetalhead. Hi man, tanks for the suggestion. LA Confidential is a fantastic plant. However my mate has had an LA mother for the past year or so. So me and most of my mates have been doing it for a while. This time we are looking for an Afghani mother with a slightly better yield. The LA confidential is not the best yielder but it is a great stoned, and a better taste. The LA Confidential that we did was not a total couch lock effect, it had a bit of a psychedelic edge too. Great strain though. Do you know if the LA expresses a phenotype where the stoned is all couch-lock?

@greenjumble. Hi Mate, Yeah seedsman are really good breeders, and I'm very tempted to try thier Afghani, especialy as it's only £20 for 10 seeds. My friend has just finished one of their white widow's from feminised seed. It was a really nice smoke, and the yield was fantastic. I think he liked it that much he's doing it again straight away. managed to get myself a half ounce. it was lovely.

They have a Narkush which might interest you. It's one I might try for and all Indica Kush strain. Thanks for the info on their WW. How big did his get and what did he start flowering at?

I think he put into 12/12 when it was about 10-12 inches. It finished at about 3 and a half feet.

Has anybody tried the DNA genetics- Pure Afghan strain?

It's what DNA used to cross the LA OG Affie to for the LA Con and the pheno's that leaned toward the Pure Afghan weren't that spectacular. Pretty average,nothing special and thats why it's probably so cheap.

How about the homegrown fantaseeds one? do you know anything about that? or the Maple leaf indica from sensi seeds?
I would get black domina from sensi, as the effect is exactly what i want. It'd be nice to get something which tastes sweet, or fruity though instead.

I haven't tried the one from Homegrown Fantaseeds but the maple leaf from Sensi used to be pretty descent but I haven't tried much of their recent gear. I do have a couple of strains from Sensi that I'm going to try out and see if their genetics have changed or not. I hear many people say their quality has gone down but you never really know until you see for yourself. If you want sweet and fruity go with TGA. They focus on taste and potency. You might not get the yeilds as with other strains but the quality is outstanding. For sativa dominant hybrids I'd go with JC, JTR, A-13, Chernobyl, or Vortex(there all f'ng good) and for indica dominant hybrids I'd go with Querkle or the Flav depending on what flavors you like but you won't be disappointed with the quality.

hey man i got the DNA L.A.CONF X SKUNK#1.this plant smells good enuf to eat.the skunk makes yields a lil better i hope.as far as the best afghani i have grown aurora indica from nirvana.that shit is dank as hell and far as couchlock this bud will put your nipples in the dirt.strongest ive had.heres the L.A.CONF. @Stonedmetalhead; Thanks for the info man, yeah never tried TGA before, I've heard many good things about them too; I quite like the look of the Jilly Bean from them.

As for Sensi seeds, I have heard the same thing about them too- only on line though. They used to be good, but like you said; won't know until you try it yourself.

it same as a package deal on christmas 5 strains ,kushberry x sk1, sleestack x sk1,kandy kush xsk1,l.a.conf. x sk1,and 1 more 1m too stoned to think of it!

Deep Chunk from Tom Hill... awesome

my pic right there is maple leaf. it's really easy to grow and yields some big, fat ,crystally buds. It doesn't have alot of flavor, but most pure afghan landraces don't.
