Can i hook up 12volt fans that go to a computer to a light socket if i splice the wire to a power cord? Or if that too much electricity and will it cause a fire?

While I am new to the whole indoor scene and the internet language thing is a piss-off. If people don't ask the stupid No0b questions than they are probably never gonna learn. Lets face it we all start somewhere right? But on the other hand the 60W cfl thing is funny as hell as is the dingleberries thing, I mean come on, dingleberry hash? No red flags went up on that one.
