ok , im goin to start with seeds,

i ordered on a monday an recieved them on the friday.

and i have

skunk no1 - given to me from a friend

... the reason i have to many skunk no1 going is cos i dno wether they are male or female and i also have something else im goin to do with a few of them later on in the project.

as u can see i have lightly dampened tissue paper and sandwiched the seeds in it.

ill keep them in the containers for a week or so an keep an eye on them, hopefully they sprout lol.

i know there are other ways to get seeds going

like soakin them in a cup of water overnight,

we shall see if this works out, feel free to leave comments on this part of the project

dude, you took great care to space your seeds lovingly apart... please be considerate of my eyeballs... and reduce that hideous font so that a person does't have to scroll the page to finish reading a sentence. otherwise, i'd be interested in seeing how you fare.

apparently, 2 500w halo spotlights wont cut it,

i have serious a-c and fans to keep it cool ?

Maybe a couple of flouro tubes , ? What shall i get

naw, the halo's won't work.

on a serious budget, you still want to get at least (1) 2 bulb 4 foot flourescent fixture with cool blue bulbs (6500 kelvin spectrum)
for seedlings/vegging/clones and (1) 150watt HPS bulb with proper HPS fixture for flowering.

cfl's r pretty cheap and effective. hard to find the right ones in the uk, i get mine from this site:

ur gonna need quite a few of these with the amount of seeds u have so maybe this wouldnt be the right option.

HPS would be sweet as but is a bit expensive on your budget

Say if i only had 8 plants going, how many wud i need

check out ebay bro, i got a 125watt envirolight for about £10, if u want to find out what kind ur after go in the growing room bit and theres a sticky thread at the top saying everything u need to know about lighting. if ur budget is that much of an issue spend time reading about what ur doing so ur not making mistakes and getting the most of ur money

these are 3 of the seeds @ day 2


they have been sandwiched in wet tissue on a dish and left in a dark drawer + slightly dampened each day.

i could only take pictures of 3 of them because my battery died on my camera,

these are the ch9 flower strain,

as you can see i think i have found 2 good growers already, the smaller inserted pictured is the 3rd seed, the other 2 seeds are the same as the inserted picture

the skunk no1 seeds have yet to sprout

Ok, built the botch grow room today, i decided the cellar was far to Cramped for growing as it onlywas 5 ft floor to ceiling, i am using a back room of the house , 3x 5 ft long fluro tubes for now. Going to start off with these, will hopefully be able to use them until i have use of another light , i have a small desk rotating fan were the plants will go and a larger stand up fan by the window blowing outwards , ill sort some photos by tomoro afternoon, now i have to build a home made hydro , pls note i have not spent a penny so far on the grow room or hydro setup

run into a streetlight with ur car and get the hps outa it. lol. ur goin to need more light soon for all those plants. how many are there?

omg , can i realy use street lights they were taking down the old ones near me a week ago, they must of took down like 300 street lights and put new ones up,

i could of taken a few of them aswell, they were scrapping the old ones,

like i said, my project budget is £30

thats for setup and room.

so far i havnt spent a penny
i used 3 5ft strip lights from the cellar

and took off the dispeser covers,

like i said im following no rules apart from the basics.
we will see how far i get.

im going to cover the side and back wall in boards painted white to reflect the light.

you may recall the other seeds i have the skunk no1's

i got 16 waiting to sprout atm.

wont be growing all indoors.

im goin to throw a few outdoors in our rather over grown back garden.

and see how far they get !

neighbours wont notice because one side the house is not used, there garden is over grow with ( normal weeds that stand @ about 10 foot high, and the garden stinks too)

and the other side has a 7 - 8 foot fence

we shall see ayeeeeeeeeeeee.


oh quick question,

can i wire to fluros to a single fluro holder ?

well another day aye, and heres the lastest as far as the seeds go.

the skunk no1s have turned a dark brownish colour from a light peachy colour,




dont know wether this is good or bad?? maube they are soaking up water before bursting itno life,












my ch9 flower skunk femalised are coming along lovely

they have all sprouted a nice sized root,

and 2 have signs of greenery already,



the most developed one has furry roots,

looks freeakyyyyy


still sorting out more and more energy saving lights an more fluro strip lights, more ! more more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IM not using soil, im using rock wool,

and going hydro (hopefully)



there is one question thou,


this is the only thing that is confusing me at this stage,

wen i put the seed into the rockwool,

is there any special way of placing it in, like root down 1st,

becuase my roots are bent all over the place, wouldnt stretching them out damage them ?

if someone could draw me a simple diaram on transfering seeds to rock wool at this stage id realli appriciate it

just plant it roots down, dont worry bout them been bent, they will find their way

today. i put the sprouted seedlings into the rockwool,

they are in my baby / mother cupboard

in damp rockwool,

hopefully they dont die off, because its the first time ive ever put seedlings into rock wool


ive been told to put them on 24/hour light
IS THIS RIGHT ?


and also today i built my hydroponics (flood drain system)

heres the main res,

pls be sure that your res dosent have wheels fitted to it, because your goin to spring a severe leak liek i did, i lost 3 bucket fulls of water through the floor boards,

it took me a day to fill the goddam holes in before it decided it didnt wnt to leak

heres the nearly finished thing

i have to make a cover for the pots to go into as the lid is far too deep and lets light through

so yeah.. about the seedlings, once i put them in rock wool, how long till i can give them light, and what light cycle should i use

Can sum 1 answer me pls
