As a newbie of growing from seed need advice to whether this crit kush plant is worth growing or shall I just bin it? It has taken between 5-6 weeks to get to the 1st pic, over 11 days ago it was the 2nd pic and I didn't think it would grow because id already binned the other crit kush plant/abnormality but it seems to be fighting to live, my worry is that cos its been so long its gonna be a shit plant anyway now
I have a holy grail 69 that I somehow stunted from seedling and did grow at all for three weeks or so looking like these lol

Like lahedalea's pic for three week and then all the sudden decided to grow now I put her in flower yesterday DSC_0210.JPGWhen I water her she smells really nice now. I don't believe in throwing em if they are still alive.....
plant's are not just for Christmas lool.
Point is you never know what you are missing could be a beast, unless your a profit man then chuck it lol

I was gonna upgrade to led from 400 hps but after a full month reading about how much they put out and how companies talk shit it's like I could see the catches lol...
so I just went with a 600 hps.
Unlucky on the led subject tho

I got the same strain about 5 weeks into bloom under a 600 hps and the bud is already twice the size of the bud from 10 week led grow, same enviro and nutes- personally I don't think they are worth the effort but experience growers reckon on good results.

The issue is WHICH LED lighting to use. The blurple panels are lame and not worth the money.

The COB LED chips are a horse of a different color altogether; the guys over in the LED section of this forum are doing world class work in showing how to use them to build fixtures that live up to those early promises of better spectrum and performance.

I'm on schedule to take delivery of a sizeable quantity next month. I'll be using them to do head to head testing vs the legacy of various types of HID lighting I've been using for years.

I have a cob led because like u said the panels are rubbish, i did do some research and the likes of mars hydro etc dont do the job, im now trying a grow under the 1200w cob again but keeping light closer to see if that makes any difference to bud/yield

I'll be running 4800W worth of COBs half a meter from the cola buds, with all the latest in climate control equipment. I've seen quite a few solid runs with these chips, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens when we scale things up a bit.

The diy cob with cree etc seem alot better than the 1 i got, my research showed that the Super Helios Pro 6 was 1 of the best on uk market but its about £550 a unit, the 1 i have as the exact same specs and looks the same but was cheaper, maybe this was a factor

When I did my research to upgrade I knew these catches would wound me, so I managed to understand if I'm gonna upgrade it's gonna be DE HPS lights are the dogs nakers compared to LED and normal hps for light quality and heat...

But all are expecive for me personal grows
So until eBay gets em at reasonable price that's when I will upgrade to that..
But check out DE HPS it's worth the money from my research :bigjoint:

It's the vicar's knickers for ceiling heights of 3m and higher. It's ten percent more efficient than SE HPS... but it still has the terrible HPS spectrum and it's even hotter than SE. I wanted to believe in the tech, but I just couldn't persuade myself to overlook its shortcomings.

Okay, I'll be honest; I couldn't get a handle on mounting DE lamps vertically so I'm full of feelings of sour grapes!

The straight truth is that 315W CMH lamps with the digital square wave ballast are the most efficient lamp in HID lighting right now, and there's no compromise on spectrum quality.

If you want better than that, you've gobs of COBs to choose from!

I managed to fill out my next square metre at just 25 Cms height for flip time although I've tweaked the numbers coz they are slightly shorter. It's 15 x 7 litre for this one, not 12.

My turnaround time for this harvest will be 62 days in flower and clone to 12:12 is under a mth.

I don't veg plants unnecessarily. I can have as MANY AS I LIKE, so for me it's all about getting the canopy full. I'm trying to grow a harvest, not a forest!

Can take pics later if you wanna see.

I'd buy, sorry have loads of, digital Lumatek ballast 660w which is Dimmable for veg. Love em, got more than half a dozen of them.
