Can anyone advise on a good simple hydro system for me to try for 1st time, I've done a few grows in soil but been told that hydro is the way forward but there's so many different set-ups that im loosing the will to try it lol
I have just made a bubbleponics system out of a 15L bucket with lid net pot and a air stone and pump for less than £15 it only took me 20mins to build it from scratch I believe this is the way forward

IMO hydro not the way forwards, the end result is about the same soil vs hydro and hydro cost way more to setup, labor and running costs, the risk is a lot higher with hydro of losing the crop,
but its much more intresting as a hobbie, in soil there nothing to it, you just water every 2-3 days

You want it around 20c and 60% all the big leaves off and hung upside down for a week. Then I remove the buds and rack them for 48 hours before bucketing them with Boveda 62's for a week, job done imo! fucking cracks me up that sloth man...lfmao :bigjoint:
They call him a sloth but he looks fuck all like Neil from sofaworks lol

Is that the same as the IWS oxy pot system?. That was the 1 I thought seemed the best way to go for 1st time, cheap to setup etc so if I screw up then its back to soil lol

I read that the risk for error is a lot more than soil so I was thinking of doing 1/2 side soil and 1/2 hydro setup just in case I fck up, all mates doing hydro reckon on double yield and better quality to soil but don't know personally how much truth in it.

from what i have seen there's no diffence in the yeild soil vs hydro

but good ideal doing half soil and half hydro, thats what i did for a few crops ( dwc buckets)

I spent 30 mins every day, twice a day with the hydro system and watered the plants in soil every 3 days, the buds in soil where a little smaller but they where soild
hydro buds where bigger but more spongey

The yeild from the soil and hydro was the same, organic buds grown in soil came out better and the fruity scent was a lot stronger

soil as best for me as it take less time and comes out great every time with little effort

Hey a few replies in such a short time we will be up and running in no time chaps! Any yes its amazing 3 out of 3 farted at a funeral... quite sick imo lol! Anyway after a quick check I decided to leave them another week! I had a revegging issue due to lights been on 24/7 so its been a pain stopping the stretch and keeping things looking reasonably healthy... @wiethe20 its not meant to be racist in any way my friend, I would like to know what a PB & J is though? @Labs Dexter its odd how Bradford has great water Ph 7 and around 200ppm which may explain a few things... @The Nine I tend to stick with Canna but thanks I will have a look at them.

A small section of my home bred Blueberry Herrer just waiting to be smoked now... I have some off them already and its proper tackle! In fact its similar if not the same as Blue Cheese imo and we have grown lots of Blue Cheese :blsmoke:

Thanks for the advice,i think I will try 1/2 with the oxy pots because they look the easiest for beginner

Try auto pots if you are just starting out,its what i started of useiung and tried most other methods but still go back to auto pots,i start them in soils under a t5 then into a 50/50 mixof coco and clay balls, with a air ring in the bottom of the pots ,with air been sent to the rings from a compressor

I was looking at them, running about 4 off the 100L tank but did not see the air ring with system, Did you have to add that separately?
