Man guys I should be harvesting my AK 48 less than 2 weeks from now, but most of the hairs haven't changed colors or receded. My PH has been falling to 5.2 for 3 consectutive days now. I may be locked out....I can't really do a proper flush because the plants have grown into the glass of my hood, which is as high as it can go, so removing the lid completely is not an option untill harvest.

Should I flush the best I can for 1 day, then re-add nutes? Or do you guys have any other ideas? Do you think if I went ahead and started my final flush, the plants would finish faster?...or would they not have enough nutes to finish? Expected harvest date is Nov. 11th.

I wouldn't do anything right now but deal with the ph problem for the next couple of weeks. Things happen quick during the last 2 weeks so don't get impatient.

Do you have a spare port in the system where you could add nutes or perform other maintenance?

I can slide the lid over and reach my hand in to drain with the pump if I need to, and/or add nutes. I can empty all but about a half gallon with the pump. I can't dump it properly, and I can't clean the equipment in the res.

If I flushed I would have to empty and fill several times to get all of the old nutes out. I would just have to keep the RO running a while. It would be a real big pain in the ass but I will do it if necessary.

I got the PH back up to 5.5, but I'm almost certain it will drop again over night. It's really pissing me off and I'm ready for these girls to finish....on a lighter note, the Jack Berry are already working on there second node. They're in a new 6 site bubbleponic system I built for seedlings, I have another for sexing clones. 2 girls will go into GH waterfarm units.

...thanks all of course to bubbleheads and Roseman's DIY threads.

Mcase,

If so inclined please join the Bubbleheads! We are a peace loving group that's purpose is to help new growers learn to grow and in turn ask you to help others as you will be helped. No experience necessary. Strictly a pay it forward deal for us.

I started with the stealth hydro system 5 completed grow ago and put my favorite seeds in that system. Some buy the system and some make there own. If you do buy the system and elect to join the group please use Bubblehead at the discount prompt to receive 10% off your order.

I drained a tank and re-filled it 4 times, Thursday night, just to get the crude out of the bottom of the tank. Its very very difficult to get that bottom inch of water out, so I just kept diluting it and draining it out.. I even replaced my two air stones and it sure made a difference in my pH staying level. It was very difficult, especially for an old man like me, but I did it.

pH going down (too acidity) means there is dead debris, dead roots, dead decaying trash in the tank.

Thats a huge compliment Rose, Im just a little more small scale. If I hadn't found your tutorials, I'd prolly still be growin in dirt. =)

Visitors,
If you are considering starting a grow,

it is MUCH MUCH easier to do an indoor grow in Winter time,
than in the Summer time.

It is easier to bring heat to a cool room, than to bring COOL air
to a Hot room.

Figured out everything I was doing wrong. Too embarrassed to confess, I'm gonna keep this one to myself. Either way, things are back on track. Gimme a few days and I'll update with some pics :dunce:
