The cable guy might have seen a plant...

I'm at my dealers house this morning and the cable guy shows up to replace a box...

After the cable guy leaves I notice a plant was left out in plain view. I freak, but he doesn't think much of it. On the one hand it was just sitting out like a houseplant and might have blended in, on the other hand PLAIN FUCKING VIEW

There's no telling if the cable guy even noticed the plant but I'm suggesting he clean up his house and think of it as a search warrant on the way.

What do you think, don't you agree he needs to completely get rid of everything illegal for months at a minimum or what would you do? (no he's not a legal medical patient or caregiver, I think he has a felony or something that disqualifies him, either way he says he can't get a card.)

To be on the safe side I would move the plant(s) somewhere for a week or maybe two weeks just to be safe. More than likely nothing will come out of this unless that cable guy is an asshole.

yea i would get rid of stuff for a week or two. in all reality if the cable guy is a super dick and called the cops that he said that he saw a plant in some guys house...worse case scenario is the cops make a note that most likely gets lost....unless he lives in a tiny town then it might get a knock on the door and a hello how ya doing?

I would not worry about it. One plant is nothing to panic about. If the guy say the grow room I would shit my pants, but one plant no worrys! The cops have way more to worry about like houses gutted just to grow in and 18,000 plant bust in ventura county and 40,000 plants in Kern county and so on. Relax and just keep it cool!

He's a really nice guy but really young and naive mentally. He takes too many risks and thinks nothing of it, but I'm hoping to get him to be safer and think more.

The dealer I had before him was kind of the same, and he got 12 years when someone flipped on him to reduce their own sentence.
I don't want to see that happen again. Too many really nice people in jail for this stupid shit.

And here I thought I was right to panic and would use your responses to convince him to play it safe. That didn't work, but he at least agreed to let me keep his plants for a week or two.

It strongly depends on what the plant looked like, I know for a fact I might not notice a nice little marijuana plant growing in a corner or whatever, but if it was a 3 foot tall flowering bush... then perhaps.
But to be on the safe side I agree he should go into stealth for a while, or at least try to.
