Lol not stock but there are lots of twinned ls7s or even big ass singles.
The ls and lq series are bad ass engines in a broad sword sort of way.

Well goodness ... if we're gonna open those floodgates it's like letting pros into the Olympics.

Make mine the Porsche. (Stock, street-legal category)

lol where you been? you still stuck in the 60s? pretty sure its quite the opposite hahaha
a carrera gt is a v 10 600 horsepower 450 torque 8000 rpm motor. It has a 3.5 bore x a 2.98 almost 3 inch bore. A vetter has a 7 liter 4.5 inch rough bore and roughly 4-4.5inch stroke. 500+ horsepower 500+ torque. Torque gets you moving horspower keeps you moving. My numbers may be off a slight but not much. American muscle is still the power producing setups of all time. The zr1 had to be detuned to race against race cars supercars are for rich people that no nothin or a little. Everybody can afford a vette not everybody can afford a carrera gt a lambo ferrari etc american muscle is still betrer theres no placement for displacement imports dont have thats why they turbo or super charge everything only way they can make power. My opinion but look up engine specs and you will see

And your correct no factory z06 is boosted there all natuaral aspirated the new zr1 is the only vetter that has been factory supercharged. Unless it was an option on other vettes I dont think so but the zr1 is the only one you can buy suoercharged

Then why do the imports have superior quarter-mile times?

The CobraJet leads the pack but isn't a true production car. After that, loads of the cars you dismiss. Horsies matter, especially now that computer-controlled clutches and transmissions remove the biggest advantage for torque monsters ... their forgiving shifting characteristics compared to the high-rev Euro-style motors. Jmo.

An f1 car has a lil under 1.5 inches of stroke, and produce over 700 some HP and were reving to 22,000 rpm before regs limited it.to 18k..
Take that corvette.. :)

I truly dont pay or spend alot of time on super cars honestly what kind of time do they run. I dont live around 1/4 mile everything within 300 miles is 1/8 mile drag strips and is all grudge racing around me. And yes high revving they are as they dont have the long stroke like american cars thats why they rev to 10000 rpms unless your nascar for example and dump millions on engine research and can turn 9000 rpms

dang alive! Those are tuna-can numbers.

Oddly a Harley dragster running 7k RPM can generate similar piston speeds. i was reminded of the racing-Hog set by the 1/8-mile reference ...

an F1 race in the background reminded me of whales singing!
So not looking forward to next season cannabineer with the new twin turbo, v6 engines, limited to a measly 15,000 rpm..
Think our whales will now sound like they went green and our vacuuming the ocean.. so so sad..

Yeah, I was shocked to see the numbers myself and that a NASCAR at I think 1100 rpm was traveling more fps than an f1 engine @20,000.

I commiserate. F1 used to be a wonderful laboratory for engine and vehicle design. It's been tamed.

But the drivers are still superhumans in my eyes. Senna was an eye-opener for me. Now i KNOW I never could drive, really.

Before the grand Prix in Texas, they had a newsman go around in in think it was a mb SLR, and while it looked quick, lewis Hamilton got behind the wheel afterwards and the difference was night and day..
It's crazy bow much of a difference a professional driver can make to an already seemingly quick car..
