If I want to open that fucking business I would HAVE to pay. How is that a free market when you have to ask permission and pay a fee just to try? Why cant people decide where they shop, what foods, products and services they buy based on their own assumptions and investigations, isn't making our own decisions part of adult life?
But I forget too many aren't smart enough to ask questions and look around before they shop somewhere, always just see the sign saying "Gubermint Approved" and they walk in like mindless sheep.
The system has been slowly turned around and is now designed to stop the small business owner at all costs, while big corporations pay less than they ever have in taxes and avoid civil and criminal penalties at every turn. If you can't see this, you are fucking blind. Obamacare crushes not only the small business owner in cost of operations, but it crushes their work force as well. Who wants to work only 28 hours a week because their employer cant afford Obamacare, so all employee hours were cut to dodge paying the insurance. Now we have more people working less hours, which not only puts less money in their pockets, it gives them less time to become more efficient at work as each day goes by. Ultimately, it will effect work performance, which makes it even harder for the small guy to out perform the big guy.
Just one example.
Just Bucky wanting his government to run his life for him. They pay him, he pays them nothing, it's a good deal for someone who wants to be taken care of.

business licenses are not going away any time soon. people like knowing that their contractor is competent BEFORE they rip up their house, instead of waiting until after and suing.

In that instance, if licenses serve a consumer protection/certification function, what would be a fair ratio of license cost to the cost of providing the inspection&certification? Dude I pull 6 figs a year, I own the fucking place. I started it all on a couple hundred dollars because I said fuck the fees, fuck the licensing. I couldn't afford it either, like most guys and gals, but did it anyway. My argument is for those who would do it if the fees weren't holding them back. Not everyone is willing to go against what their "trusted" government informs them they must do everyday, but they shouldn't have to put up a fucking fight just to try and make some money.
I want the government to get THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYONES WAY so it's not just some rich kid playing with daddys money who gets to open these things, you'd have rich and poor standing side by side competing for the same share of the market that is available. Do you really think the people of MA are going to get the best dispensary that would be available to them? Fuck no they aren't, they will only get the best out of those who had the money to drop on the fucking piece of paper that will hang on the wall.
I get it though Bucky, it's May, a long 31 day month. Tough to make it all the way with so little. You'd think your government would give you more food stamps on the longer months. Fucking bastards.
