i was surprised to see theyare 48 v dc..that works with my panels

not sure the % ratio of red strips to white panels

plan is to add them and two brands of uvb fluro's on two different grows

i am slow

ps may weight my latest pre88g13hp 4 x 4 to see g/w ..never bothered before..first mono "crop"

What brands are you thinking for the UV fluros? I’m planning on adding two 48” T5 fixtures to my light for the next run. Two 14” units for my veg tent as well.

Are you sure theyre 48V that does not make sense, if its the same as i got i ran 2 in series over a 48A driver.

Strange. Do you have a link to the item you purchased? Most of these reds are about 2 V per chip usually.

Maybe you picked up some phosphor reds?

I see what happened here: you got 5050 solstrips pcbs where only the middle channel is used. The 5050 would be 48V. The middle channel should be 25ish depending on current.

thanks yeh i finally figured it out..guess i better get a 28.8 v driver

my panels are 48

i think the strips go to 29 w..

any idea the % of red to white i can do..10%?

from Mark:
The issue is that the board is normally a 3 channel board and when fully loaded the white channels are 48V, however as there are only 12 pcs of the red led at 2.4V this is why this channel can only be run at 28V, 12 leds x2.4V=28.8 volts, at 700ma for example you would be at 28.8X0.7 =20 watts per board

so now i need to figure out how big a driver to run these strips at the right red ratio

20 w per sounds good i can cool them quite well on my 300 w active cooled cookie sheet lights

You may wanna thinknof driving them soft, i think they are like 2.2 ppf/j at nominal, 0.7w, s

Ok... I think ive seen different numbers on cutters site, think 2.4 is at max, 1000mA. God knows though, sometimes i wish they were a bit more clear over there

@OLD MOTHER SATIVA I think I got the same strips as you. I will paste two responses 2nd one from cutter that i got in the "how to power them" thread.
*****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
From Apc
So its 12x far reds @2.4v?
Max current 1amp
You could look at meanwell APC-25-700
https://www.meanwell-web.com/content/files/pdfs/productPdfs/MW/APC-25/APC-25-spec.pdf

***************************************************************************************************************************************************************
From Cutter
if you running it as single channel ie 12 leds then you will be at around 28Volts and at 700ma around 20 watts. So a 25 to 40 watt driver would be perfect if your running on a separate circuit.
ESP040W-0900-42 from Digikey is a nice solution

ESP040W-0900-42 ERP Power, LLC | Power Supplies - External/Internal (Off-Board) | DigiKey

or something similar, the APC mentioned is also a lower cost solution

cheers

Hope that helps.
I have the driver now and still haven't got round to even hooking the thing up lol. Oh and I have mixed up my far red strip and my deep red strip - annoyingly i see no marking to tell the diff....Suppose I will when i turn the thing on lol

I’m about to buy two 240w boards off Alibaba should I get meijiu or kingbrite?
They’re both very very similar to each other. Meijiu has thicker heat sinks while King Brite has more diode layout options. I went with King Brite and have had nothing but great things to say.
