The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Good question, just went from the information i found on the internet. At first i really wanted to go with the strips but found out it won't be doable due to the configuration of the room. I must go with boards (due to the space. there would be things in the way of the strip).

Someone here will surely be able to assist you.

I'm still debating 3500k vs 3000k atm before pulling my order. My guts tell me to go with 3500k with the reds.
If I were buying China boards I get meijiu 240 folux boards made up with all 90 CRI lm301b diodes and ELG meanwell drivers just in case i ever wanted to control them. The sunrise feature are good for softening startup loads and many have features of dimming based on temp. If the tent gets too hot the boards dim.
I suppose the biggest risk of buying these boards are led failures as opposed to electrical ones?

I been seeing that too but there's people who claim 3000k will make denser buds and extra weight. Then there's the cree vs epistar and the dozen 240w models that look so similar.

One thing i can say is that buying quantum board seems so complex versus my HPS but i'm always willing to try something new!

Some say the inrush current happens no matter what dimming level you have, since the capacitors that much be charged up are before the dimming circuitry.
I've watched for this supposed inrush on ignition on my 240w drivers, and newer see it on my killawatt meter. In fact it's a quick but steady ramp-up from zero to the specified current.

That depends on the specific HLG "B" or "AB" model. 320 watt HLG CV + CC drivers and all 240 watt and smaller HLG drivers offer 1-10Vdc dimming. 320 watt HLG CC drivers and all 480 and 600 watt HLG drivers offer 0-10Vdc dimming.
That makes a lot of sense. I was wondering why my XLG 240 only goes down to like 25 watts at the lowest. Now it all makes sense. Thanks for that.

XLG 240 is 0-10v dim to off capable
Then I'm not doing something right. I have the AB. I have the Io (or A) part turned all the way up. And then used the potentiometer (or B part) to control the dimming. Maybe if I turned the Io down it would go to 0 watts. I don't know. Do you have any idea? I'm confused again, lol.

Want to get two setups for 2 4x4 tents with no CO2 enhancement. Thinking of going quantum bars vs quantum boards. I have about a $2k limit. Was thinking of either the kingbrite 5x5 set up and add an extra bar to make it 720w. Run it off of two drivers. One 480 another 240. Anyone else using the quantum bars from Kingbrite?

Check out Dank light co.

That does seem very cheap, built in drivers, perhaps they are the very cheap part.

Always confirm drivers when shopping alibaba. A lot use they’re own drivers. Not good if they burn out.

What are you going to replace it with?

It sounds like they're saying you can leave it plugged in permanently and turn it on/off thru dimming, thus only one inrush. Compared to set-dimming-to-zero-and-plug-in, which still results in inrush.
