I'm pretty sure you could talk them into making anything as long as you have a good enough reasoning for it n they prolly follow suit. Just get the Alibaba app and you can chat with them directly. These are mine... Just got emThat's awesome. But why do these led makers keep making the same mistake adding 450nm? Use freaking 400-420 (way underrated) or 470. We get our 450 just fine from out k temps. And what with mixing 3k & 4k? Sales tactics? Use 35k then. 4k is the one all the k-temps are mixed together to avoid because it has the mostestestest green. Uggghhh! Does it cost more to get it customized or swap the 450 out?
Oh u guys. Making me wanna do this more everyday. Even know I got the newest in high tech, super efficient led grow lights coming in the mail as we speak from 2 different top Dawgs, I soooo still want to tinker with these. Lol. It's crazy.
You'd need to check back of board temps with an ir thermometer while slowly turning up the driver.Wait, what!?
So these meiju boards with the 561's the small ones that 'run 120w' with a heatsink will do only 30w without a heatsink? I was seting up a light at 4 boards per HLG-240 making it 60 watts per board without heatsink as meiju said they would be fine up to 60w. I have to go back to the drawing board?
With that much wattage, 480+320+320? Thats an oven of light. For a 4x4 id go for a hlg 480 and 3 fotop. When building the frame i would do it slightly bigger than the fotops so i i cou but some kind of strip on the short end side in case i wanted more light or spread. Or maybe some side light but like really soft, 20w per 312.4x4 tent. I made the calculations and everything normally fits. Trying to get as much coverage as possible and running the boards low.
Yes, 312 are the same size at 304, so 1/5 of Fotop. Still making the maths on the drivers, and looking at constant current/series wiring now. I chose the 312 because of the voltage of 304 (36V vs. 100V?)
Exactly my line of thought: several plans and adapt depending on what I get/measure during tests and setup!
Thanks for your detailed replies!
Hey Rocket, what's your opinion on supplemental lighting with the fotops? Should I get some deep reds and UV in there?With that much wattage, 480+320+320? Thats an oven of light. Its optional and will benefit you. Get the right UV spectrum though.Hey Rocket, what's your opinion on supplemental lighting with the fotops? Should I get some deep reds and UV in there?
I dont know cause i havent tried it yet. But hoping to do for the next build, mainky 660nm.Hey Rocket, what's your opinion on supplemental lighting with the fotops? Should I get some deep reds and UV in there?
The apogee was bought from US... was the cheapest optionPity you can't do a grow with just the r2t boards in a space of their own, would certainly show what they are capable of. Again thanks for taking the time to test and show, much appreciated by myself and im sure others. Either way they work and the plants don't care if they are coca cola branded.
Your plants are looking healthy as per usual, with a nice crop of juicy buds.
Can I ask did you get your apogee local or import? asking as I could do with getting hold of one to setup my cab once and for all, well for another year lol.
piggybacking these temperature posts with a question for you Moflow;You'd need to check back of board temps with an ir thermometer while slowly turning up the driver.
I'm not sure which board you are referring to. Is it a 288 diode 12" x 8" board ?
A QB 288 MAY require heatsink at 50+ watts
A fan blowing on back of boards will lower their temps nicely
50- 55 , That's sweet.piggybacking these temperature posts with a question for you Moflow;
been working up to 300-305ish watts on the fotop 800 board in the 2x4 grow (with a heatsink) and I am looking at 50-55 degrees (c) on the hottest side of the board (furthest away from the closest fan blowing on it).
Any reason why I shouldn't be comfortable with those temperatures, as long as it doesn't affect the overall tent temperature negatively?
What temperature wouldn't you be comfortable running these at?
What you you guys recommended for a 3x10 space?
How high do you have tonhang it for even coverage and no burning in the centre? 12" @200w was what we found fine and curious on your setuppiggybacking these temperature posts with a question for you Moflow;
