Most of you stoners can't get past a 10 minute clip, so I don't really expect much from this, but for those of you who care about humanity/the future/progress, take a look. Make some lunch and spend 16 minutes of your life getting educated, its even without commercials!

"High-Tech Colonialism" - Excellent way of putting it!

Great one.

'..people wrap themselves in their beliefs, and they do it so tightly that 'you' can't set them free; not even the truth will. Listen, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. even in regards to progress. But you're not entitled to your own facts.'

Interesting.... It should have been a longer presentation since it seemed like he just skimmed along the issues. I like the time machine idea though

omfg that point can't be stressed enough!!

This is what I was trying to get across to Sarah22 a while ago, we were discussing what reality is and how all of our own individual interpretations of it don't weigh in on what it actually is. Facts and opinions (or perceptions) are a very different thing.

I dont have time to watch it right now, not that im lazy. but if this has anything to do with it, i was watching 60 minutes lastnight about a recent bone discovery they found. It was a 9 year old boy that had characteristics of both ape and man today. The bones are said to be about 2 million years old. They said its a new species, and thus futhur proves evolution for all you nay sayers....

He's spot on.

I agree that on the whole we as a global society are in the dark ages; despite being in the "information age."
