Week 6 Day 6 Of Flower.

Since Were Discussing Heat Lets Discuss Efficiency. My Question Is Cooling. Now When I Went From 800 Watts Of Panel's To Running 750 Watts Of Cobs I Had To Lower My Thermostat By 10 Degrees In The Winter Which Means That In The Summer I'm Going To Have To Run 10 Degrees Cooler At 750 Watts. Never Mind Trying To Run Them Full Power In The Summer Which Would Require Another 5 Degrees Lower In Temp. The National Energy Dept. Say's That We Can Save 1% For Every Degree We Drop Over A 8 Hour Period. So My Question Is How Efficient Are Cobs Over Panels When They Cost You 30% More In Energy To Run?

I basically just made the same post in another thread. 3 page long thread with people suggesting a light and ventilation techniques for a noob without a single name called or jab thrown! Good shit!

I have not had the same problems with heat...since I switched to a COB setup with remote drivers, the temps are a lot lower. The IG helps, but still I seem to have the opposite problem as you.

at first i had two 72V cxa3590's and two cxa3070's at 1.05A and 1.7A, which ran super cool compared to the Black Dog BD240U I was using. That thing was a toaster. Then, things got better when I took out some cobs and put the IG in since the ballast is on the top of the light, and that adds some heat.

Looks pretty awesome in there. Do you use a chiller for your system? Forgive me if this was answered I just skipped straight to the latest bud porn.

Also run Jack's for the whole grow with some Terpinator in flower. Works great.
