Background:
This is my second grow. My first one ended badly 2 to 3 weeks before harvest because the peoples house I was growing at decided to jack the AC up to 83 while they were at work. All they had to do was keep the AC at 72 and they would get half of my harvest. Well I came to water them after being gone for 2 days and it was 103 inside their box because the room they were in was hotter than the rest of the house. They were ruined crispy critters. Here is some pics of them before they were murdered:( 2 NLxSkunks under a 150w hps and some cfl's in a stealth grow box.

The Plan:
Giving it a second go with 2 Female Seeds feminised C99's. They will be scroged under a 2x4 screen with a 4 bulb 4ft T5 setup for veg and a 600w air cooled HPS for flower. Nutes will be Flora Nova Grow and Flora Nova Bloom with some supps to be decided.

This is the false wall in my closet. The shelve pulls out.

This is the E&F system I built. Inside the 27g res is a 240gph pump with a 3/4" cross on it. The sides go to the 5 gallon buckets. The top of the cross comes up through the 3/4" pvc you see between the buckets and back down into the res. The valve is to take samples or to drain it via the pump. The height of the pvc controls the water level in the buckets. The buckets are filled with Hydroton. I had to add a little artwork to make it personal:)

This is a pic of my top-off buckets. Two 5 gallon buckets plummed together and then into the res via a Trough-O-Matic float valve that sits at the level of the res during the flood cycle. The clear tubing is to keep an eye on the levels.

This is the Rapid Rooter chamber I built. Its pretty simple. It is just a 72 site tray and insert that sits inside a 16g rubbermaid. There is a 40gph pump in the bottom that pumps water up to through that tubing and there are holes in the tray and the right height to keep the right amount of water in the tray. The excess water just falls back into the rubbermaid. It cycles 2 twice a day for 15 minutes each time. I tested it on a practice seed and it worked perfect. Kept the RR moist but not sopping wet. It sits on a heating mat and is hooked up to a heating mat controller set at 78 degrees.

Scrog screen and top of buckets. I built that table they are sitting in to block light and heat from the res.

Just a badass little fan I picked up. I liked it cause it oscillates and tilts.

The 600w hps, 6" fan, and carbon filter. I was a little worried about the bends but it keeps the temp about 3-4 degrees above ambient with the fan on medium. The exhaust goes out to underneath my house and the intake comes in under the table the buckets sit in keeping it light proof. The intake is passive and comes in from my bedroom.

The guts.. 600w switchable dimmable digital ballast and fan controller. Im kind of a neat freak so the pvc you see is a stand I built with a door on it. Its wrapped in panda film. The fan sits on top. I couldnt stand seeing any wires lol. All the wires for lights or fans come in between the panda film and the wall.

So Far:
I used the paper towel method and after 24hrs the seeds were both showing tap root so I put them in their RR and into their home till they start showing roots out of the bottom. Then into the 5 gallon buckets...
Any thoughts or comments are def welcome. STAY TUNED:)

Oh and I am going to be installing two 2ft 10.0 UVB lights sometime soon. Not sure how I am going to install them to get the best coverage yet. My first grow had one 18" UVB and the buds closest to the bulb were way more frosty than the ones far from it.

Nice set-up man, sorry to hear about the first run. Sounds like you have everything sorted out for this go around. Pulling up a chair to follow.

Ya my first attempt was a heart breaker!! That was about 2 years ago and I havent talked to those people since. I was so pissed I didnt even take the box. It costed me about $700 to build that box and I just left it. I would have regrouped but about halfway through that grow I had to stop smoking due to a new job coming up. That job kept me out of town for 14 days in a row so I would have had to stop anyway. Well I no longer have that job lol:)

Picked up a cool mist humidifier, a ph/ppm monitor that stays in my res, and cool little Dropcam. Got my RH to about 45% from 30%. Temps are hanging around 78 degrees. Dropcam is a great way to keep an eye on your ph/ppm when your gone for a while if you have a meter thats always in your res. Also great for keeping an eye on your lights. Its a little wireless camera that keeps a constant feed. All I have to do is log in to my Dropcam app on my phone and I can watch them at all times. Not smothering them but im gone alot so I have a babysitter that helps when im gone.

Not much to ohh and ahh over but a couple pics..
