What set up are you casting those patterns with, what's the target species?

I'm looking for ideas to let me cast 2/3" minnow patterns with a 6wt single hander I'm far from up to date with materials that won't waterlog and might offer less resistance, lol maybe I hoping for the impossible here what do you think guys?

Most deer hair flies 2/0 or larger I use 8 weight, but 1/0 or smaller I can fish down to fast action 5.

Grew up fishing on the river, now I live near the ocean. Never had much luck ocean fishing but on my daily walks I see folks catching octopuses all the time. But got to be careful because they have blue ringed octopus in my area too.

That there is one nice pile of meat ! I've always been a meat fisherman . I do love any kind of fishing but I really like passing around the freshest fillets most people have ever experienced .

At the airport now, Just got the fish from the processor, 4 guys, we each got 100 lbs of fillets plus another 23 lbs. yummo!
