The Garbage Can Theory

Ok so I'm a new grower long time smoker and i was wondering is it possible that i can throw my outdoor plants into flowering by throwing a garbage can over them for 12 hours light and 12 hours night.
If so should i poke holes in the garbage can so the plant should breathe or should i just throw the garbage can over it. If i throw the garbage can over it with no holes will it suffocate and kill my plant over that 12 hour period.

it should work, be careful where you place the holes, as you dont want any light to enter the garbage can. I think(co2) not sure collects under fan leaves if there isnt any air flow, im not sure what the effects to the plant are, but i know it is undesirable.

I agree with CZR on this. I would cover them early in the evening before any moisture settled and uncover them at sunrise before it gets too hot. You don't want them living in an environment like an armpit.

yea im planning on covering them up at around 8:00pm and uncovering them at 8:00am sound cool?

If possible lets say it gets dark at 9 and daylight at 6. Depending on how far away they are I would cover them at 6 then uncover after 9 when its dark that way they are only covered a few hours.Hope that makes sense to you.Good Luck

yea i know im just experimenting though im a first timer so im seeing how i can get the most bud

If you want the most bud let them do there thing because longer veg time equals more bud in the end. But if your worried about not being able to finish in time run the trashcan.
