The Copters seeing your crop really depends on location. If they are in a open field in rows they'll get busted. "The" patch in the pic is 20 tightly snugged among trees and bushes. Still scary though. They are like 7 foot. If a helicopter flew directly over them they will definitely see them. Changes of that happening are slim though...... hopefully

What's up NY, Got real cold here in WNY near border. Down to 27 F at 530 this morning. It wasn't suppose to get that cold and I didn't cover it up, man it's only the third week in September. What a bullshit growing season this year. Took a few bag seed and tossed them in the ground at the end of May. Only one plant came up and it just happened to be a nice female. The one odd thing about it is the main stem from about 6" up and all the branches and all the leaf stems are dark purple and have been from day one. Anybody seen this before not a nubie but nor am I an expert. Would love to here what you think or any in site would help. Just noticed that the center of the buds are starting to turn purple also. It is a indica strain for sure but unsure from that point as it's origin.

i used to really love trying to grow outside in ny, but the short season is the tough part
i was always freaked out by frost, but i do see experienced growers say that a light frost is not much to worry about
far better to take it to the last possible warm spell, some afghan strains laugh at frost, so i think strain is a big determiner
