The great strain hunt

I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we could post some genetics we are in search of. Sorta like a haves and wants but I think it better to just put out some wants. So I guess I will say a few I'm looking for


#1 "the stick"!!!!! It was/is a strain that was made by two brothers in Salem in the 80s and 90s. Hands down strongest herb I have ever smoked and would love to find again.

#2 Chemo. Canadian strain I smoked in the late 90s in Vancouver and would love to grow

#3 Albert Walker. Rumored to be an Oregon strain I would love to run this cut

#4 HP13. So much hype on this strain who wouldn't want to grow it!

#5 Oregon Funk. I'm an Oregonian of course I wanna run this legend

#6 old time moonshine. Looks Yummy

#7 plum. Old spice of life strain need I say more

#8 snerval. An old 90s Oregon treat that should be around somewhere

#9 space queen. Romulan x c99

#10 dank ass bitch (Dabny) another Oregon strain

#11 ortega

#12northernberry. May have got a lime on this cut but never know

Is the list just like a "mother" list for cuts we're in search for? or is it just a list of our dankest strains we remember that we wish we could have again?

I'm thinking more of a wish list for plants. Maybe if we discuss some of our wants we can find others that have them.

god bud, wmd, and black domina. hands down my favorites, and i have them all

Well then I have black domina,black cherry soda ,old sog,the black,the white,jtr,atf,shishkaberry,Dr.Funkenstein,BBK x deep chunk,chem d ,sour d,shadow walker og,og13b,p~91,god,bubba,green crack,ss ak47,blueberry x hashplant,Mendo x afgoo,blackbetty,snazzleberry etc. I have worked for years collecting strains and keep cuts in a few friends gardens to use when needed.

What do you guys recommend as the whitest, crystaly chunked strains you ever grew, or saw? Nirvanna's Ice looks ghost white, but that could just be good photography.

id have to say for me that jack frost is by far the most trichome covered buds that i have seen, i have not seen it while growing but the dry product is so dam thrichomy, when you break the nugs you can see them just bust open and float away in the air, could probably throw a bud against some paper a few times and have a nice hash bowl and the bud would still be good to, but honestly i dont think the trichomes is all that matters in a good strain, it is not the only thing that is getting you high

Albert Walker made a pass here in WA about 6 months ago.... could never track down a clone but found some bud, it was a happy reunion. Would also like to track down Albert again myself.

I grew Ice for 2 years, and it was not space weed like in the picture...haha....but it was a great strain.....very potent....about 3-4 different phenotypes, but I have tons of pics on my started threads, if you want to check some Ice and other Nirvana stock. I have moved on, but I have a strain I call Ice Anomaly, which is totally different than the other phenos I have seen, and is now my mother. Most of my Ice plants had a very sweet, grape like smell, covered in trichs, and yielded very nicely. Very hearty plants, withstood a lot of my newbie mistakes when I first started.

As for Jack Frost, I agree, it is one of the frostiest, but never really had the high I was looking for.

For grease I would say the white or deep chunk. Both have lots of trichs

cat piss is a great strain. i wonder where it got its name.

this is my opinion on it. ( im baked to btw) but i believe that some time ago a grower was doing outdoor or even indoor and had a unknown strain, then near harvest time it got pissed on by a cat and the grower did not know. he then thought he would call it cat piss as it smelt like it and what not, and the name just kinda stuck with it after that. ive been around many budding cat piss plants and smoked much buds of it and it really does not have any cat piss scent to it.
just my opinion, any one else have any crazy ideas on it?

As good a guess as any I have heard. Maybe ask fdd if it was a strain he started...after all, he says his cat poops in the pots of his girls. and I haven't heard anything named cat poop...maybe his cat does number 1 also...I would guess?

all the catpiss i ever got was indoors from fort collins and it reeked like catpiss while growing but took on a crazy funk smell cured. it has tricombes that extend thru the leaf like roots jason king of cannabible fame documented it many times i will see if i can find a pic. while not tasting the greatest it has a head crushing stone i would like it for breeding purpose. the old man i copped from never knew how old the cut is but guessed ten -12 years. cant seem to find him anymore... would love that cut now. oh yeah and i grew a tom hill strain called monkey balls i wonder if it is a relation to monkey PAW??
