I planted tomatoes outside my house and just watered them and they produced some of the biggest tomatoes I had ever seen and tasted amazing. I wish I could put a plant there but it's right on my front porch. There's no doubt in my mind the things would be gargantuan

I can for sure tell the difference between good fruit and shitty fruit.
I cant tell you how or why its not right but I can tell you I love tomatoes and walmart tomatoes don't taste right
Oranges, cantaloupe, none of it.
Might as well be plastic

I built a hoop house yesterday


For 5 plants that have out grown my small veg area lol

Im just trying to decide on putting them in the dirt or trying hydro outside haha

My main reason is i started a round of girls at 4weeks into flower but i didnt think that haze would go 13 weeks (ding dong )

So now i got some gangly bitches needing a home ..and i got about a shit ton of new seedlings sported so thses girls are going to be my first go at light deprivation out side

Thowing lemon gold drops th seeds bubblegum
Green crack and 2 exodus cheeses outside

We'll see how bad i can fuck em up lol

Yea i know people get crazy big plants out side
I built a 12x12 hoop house and will put 5 big ones and how ever many little ones in there

Was thinking 1 27 gal tote per plant but i dont know for sure as i havent tried yet :)

That's actually a good point, and we can see exactly why there is such a disparity by simply examining the grow and handling techniques of the product.

Most supermarket produce is picked way too early, before it has a chance to fully develop and ripen on the plant. The denial of nutrition can be directly attributed to the bland nature of most produce when compared to the flavorful, home grown produce that was properly harvested when it was ripe.

Cannabis growers that deny their plants the food they need during the later stages of flowering are doing the same thing. There is absolutely no sound reason to eliminate the nutrition needed that allows the plant to produce THC until, like a red tomato, the flowers are ripe and ready to harvest.

Any fruit, or flower, will have a better chance to develop properly when provided with the right nutrition for growth throughout it's ENTIRE life, not just part of it, and that includes cannabis. Growers should flush the "flush myth" down the toilet where it belongs and focus on developing better curing techniques to improve the taste of their bud instead.

I will stick to my guns until there is a credible study done that i can read what smarter folks studied :)

Im a flusher,leecher,plain water in the last week or two, taper the feed off in the end kind of guy ;)

I think flushing got a bad rap cause people where trying to do it per the old grow bibles by George and ed
And they saw what a muthafucka it is to run 3 times the volume of wter to plant pot size

I mean really if you got a 200 gallon pot are you going to run 600 gallons of water through it in two weeks haha

I think people started hating the flush

So they adjusted their feeding until they started fading at the chop hence no more need to flush

Make sense to me anyways :)
 
Again i will say i have no qulams with the dry and cure being at least a 75to 80% factor in how well a bud burns and tastes

Its that last 20 % that im looking for for my personal smoke :)

light angle plays a role too. in summer/fall, the light isn't so much overhead as it is near the horizon. ever notice inder hps, some strains grow better on the perimeter of the tent/box/room? less light/ less direct light/and at an angle. something to think about. there's a reason mexican weed tastes and has a different cannabinoid profile than the same weed grown in kansas. as a matter of fact, i chose those 2 places because i read an article about how bud that's known to have no cbd in one place, can grw with cbd in another, kansas vs mexico. and the opposite is true. a strain known to have high cbd in one area, grown in another can have none. it's amazin, we know so little about it.
 
Haha I agree with what you said but

On the hps thing where they grow better along the edges that to me would signify that you have heat issues directly under the lamp ;) or the reflector is throwing light better to the edges

In my lil opinion lol

Im not trying to fix anything bud

i have taperd my feeds perfectly before to where i didnt feel the need to "flush"

But even so i still flush cause in hydro its too easy not to

Say what you want but i still say if you take a flushed plant and a non flushed plant

And cure and dry them the same

You will smoke the flushed one first :)

Ive always thought it to be which bacteria are thriving in a particular areas micro climate.
But of course its speculation. But its the most logical conclusion i have come to.
I hope they one day find out the exact reasons why....
 
This is all based on the fact that you know how to dry and cure properly

After that its called getting it to connoisseur level


not fixing problems that a noob had during his grow

I will agree that a flush will not fix a bad grow sorry it wont ......but it will take great bud to a even higher level of quality .....imo

But i would love for someone to show me the science that im wrong

As a logical man would......but then that whole oatmeal is good for you comes into play

And the only thing science proves is that it changes constantly haha
