Just posting for a bit of advice .....or maybe just a rant.....
I'm sure alot of us were affected by the recent heatwave that blasted across the country ... a week prior to this my 12K btu unit broke and it all started there. I urgently went and grabbed another A/C that i could afford which was only about 8k btu and it wasn't doing the job.
So prior to the heat wave i'm already having temp problems... then it hit. My house was reading 120 F ( not the growroom) i had to double up the AC's in one room and shut my veg and flowering room down. My apt was so fucking hot the floors were like burning sand under my toes. A plant has hermied. another has looked like it hermied or was pollinated. Every plant in my flowering room is at least seeded now or stressed to the point of hermaphrodisim. The light schedule was completly thrown off due to my neglect..
The veg room has suffered a bit also but not quite as bad. I can tell the roots and foliage suffered due to the extreme heat. but nothing perished.
Guess what i'm trying to say is ...I'm overwhelmed
What was once an efficient set up is now fucked....my vegging plants are only about 3 weeks old (i usually veg for at least 7 to 10) and i can see my finances going down the toilet.
So please SHARE if you suffered also...
and my question....
what do i do in this case? cut everything down. pollen has clearly made it's way through out my flower room.
Scrap the old and throw the young plants into flower early? I know i'm asking mundane questions that are dependent on the grower, but my room is well ......part of my income quite frankly.
Just curious what other growers would do in my situation ....things are still fucked up...i haven't gotten my room dialed back in yet........
