Heck until Marc emery, you could not even get grow knowledge in Canada, no grow books no high times.
First....you keep ignoring the "mass scale" part of my point.
Second... hydro got going on a mass scale in BC in the late 80s...by the early 90s the scale was so large it was supplying the west coast and most of Cananda with better weed than was available anywhere else, which is why it spread. By the mid to late 90s it was such a problem in BC that the courts couldnt handle it.
Third - Marc Emery STARTED his seed business in the early 90s supplying growers in BC first then the US, but by then BC was already exporting to the US on a scale that drew complaints by the DEA to Canadian officials. BC was also already exporting at that time to Amersterdam, which is bolstered the rep of BC Bud that added to the explosion of exports to the states.
If US states were doing it better and bigger then why did US hydro not get any international rep until the late 90s early 2000s?
Again, and for the last time...i am not saying BC invented it. Hydro was going in a lot of places around the world at the same time. But it exploded in BC in the late 80s, due to lax laws enforcement coupled with more liberal attitudes and that explosion paved the path for medical weed, which HC sanctioned here in around 2001, which eventually led to the medical movements that eventually followed in CA, WA, CO....
Those facts are not in dispute as i said. What i am after here in this thread are the stories of the individuals who were growing hydro during the start of this... they paved the way for the rest of us and deserve some respect/kudos for opening the door to the legalization movement...
