Coolio. Maybe I'll go have a mooch about at the 600. I've got a load of seed from my old outdoor antics, and some selected skunk #1 from a uk growers indoor projects but I really prefere fem seeds cos I'm head over heels in scrog, see. Got 3 fems to start the next run if they turn out ok, but i'd like to try a few different types and see what I like. I;m playing with cloning totally lo-tech, with stuff I trimmed off. Just to see how I get on. I'll invest in some serious genetics if it turns out I can actually grow this shit. First indoor run on randomly selected seeds this time. I'm the epitome of noob grower. Man, I don't think I've smoked more an 8th in the past 2 years, no shit. I thought I might get back into it. Booze is too fuckin expensive over here, and you can't even get special brew. Wtf?!?

Are the Jack Plant from Advanced really that good, or is it a bit of a 'elite' doggie's nuts kind of a thing? As for the ballast, yeah it's digi, but since it's 'prices from' €190 I'm guessing a 400w. I got my maxibright 600w digi for about £110, so er, €135 ish? sure, not the same product, but a known brand and comparable in the market.
I meant was the ballast a Lumatex dimmable, different wattage settings, like 250-600w. I'm not familiar with Advanced Jack plant, I bought 10 fem Black skull seeds Jack Herer for £30 UK, I haven't grown them but I searched the net for reviews and haven't seen a bad word written.

Yeah, I follow you digital dimmable lumatek... just think the grow shops out here are bumping prices like crazy. I know eBay hasn't really got ireland on board but you can see the price difference if you look on there. Guess that's just the market...

Shite!

Did the same thing on my baby og as on her older sister, too much oomph while pegging her down, snappy snappy. Cracked about 60% thru one stem, I tried to stitch her back on and it seems to have healed somewhat but the leaves on that side have dried out and are as good as gone, I topped again 4 nodes after the original just before I snapped her (5 days ago) and there is growth there so she's not completely funked, just not enough stem to fuel the whole side.

Pray to the gods for me she pulls thru, I'll update at the weekend.

My main og is scheduled for chop on Friday, @ 66 days, she's maybe 5% amber trics. This is the longest 4 day week I have ever experienced.

Sound. I'll have browse and see what they've got. I do miss being able to just wander into the shop and chat with the guy about what's available. He'd pull his little Tupperware of goodness out of the fridge and the fun started there.
Mad idea to sell beans and hydro kit from the same shop but he did it! And did a bit of gardening at home. :/
Jacked it all in to keep bees and sell beans as a sideline..

Guys, are these prices for real?!? I can get these back in the uk for a fraction of that, and loads of the others. Granted, I gotta spend 150 quid minimum, but still...

www.irishseedbank.com/advanced-seeds-jack-plant-5-feminised

I rate the Irish seed bank mind, stuff gets to you quick, and (maybe by mistake) I got an extra seed last order, maybe cos it was my 2nd order in 2 weeks?
Where's the best place for beans out here. I'm in the wild west.
.....and lumatek digi's starting at e190 in a certain grow shop? Fuck me, i'd rather deal with the jokers on adverts for fucksake!
Its funny how we react to pricing. Personally I don't mind paying a little more for good genetics, I personally like Dutch Passion they have solid genetics and heirloom strains.

If all 5 seeds germinated or even 3 or 4 and you wanted your money back your talking two fiddy bags - personally I think that price is too a bit high but have noticed they are a little pricey.

The shop here does Dutch Passion at the same price as they do, and can go pick it up, not a fan of this on-line ordering. pay cash and pick up personally is the only way I would go.

god damn it i wanted to rep u for the fiddy reference lol
lol -

Waiting for plants to put weight on in the bud area. Two plants in head one has not started which is a little strange. Again this is all unknown with ministry of cannabis seeds. (not a fan of them) - white widow seedlings look fab - 4 more weeks then they should be in the main tent.

I am using Canna nutes, the aqua flores range plus boost and pk

Started at 1/4 and now around 3/4 or 1500 ppm - going to try a slightly different schedule with the WW - I reckon these have at least 4 weeks left, certainly cannot go by the specified to finish time ministry say

If anyone says you cannot scrog autos their wrong, after a little worry I did the right thing I now know i did the canopy is just branches, and this is after the write up saying little angle don't branch and only good for sog

Just hate that this test grow is pretty useless seeing as I will never grow the strain again, but gave a great dry run on the set up.

Now I am just waiting on some coin to come in so I can go buy another ballast

Half price bulb is pretty sound. Paying more for the second ballast than I did for the ballast, hood and bulb, of the first one. Irish prices are higher, and the dude does not sell maxibright so have to buy another brand might try the Lumatek then, 175 I think it is for the 600 variable.

I just switched up the maxibright to the over lumen setting, 660 watt - probably more gimmick than worth while; don't know

That Canna boost is fuck expensive. might have to do a side by side on the WW and see what diff it does make.

Your in soil though yea? PPM matter far shit - soil is so much easier

ive a lumatek n its fucking sweet but it does get pretty warm @ 600w but fuck it she has a 5yr warranty. the overdrive option is to get the last bit of juice out of old bulbs so it might take frtom the life of the bulb. i was against the boost at the start but a SERIOUS grower on here swore by it n he had the results to back it up so i said id give it a shot. yeah soils sweet bud buffering out all my fuckups lol

I find the maxibright is just warm at 600 - still running the overclock on the bulb, might just be my paranoia but I reckon there is a slight flicker

nah man ur probably right, the over clocking the bulb might cause the flickering if the bulb isnt dimmable friendly, should say it on the box but like i said id only use it to get the last bit of juice from the bulb. after getting orbot and orweb on the android (making thor that bit easier to use lol kinda sweet to be honest was gonna add a bridge but no need really

Yea it is a sunmaster dual n the box says shit like more friendly for under / over running, but I just put it back to 600 and reckon the flicker has gone.

Any thoughts on letting the bins go dry for 48 hours? Its popular in other mediums and in commercial food crops, not sure in a reticulating system though, although makes sense.
