Attics can be quite hard to control temps. Too hot in summer too cold in winter. Too much temp fluctuation on a daily basis
Yes I am aware of that but it's a perfect secure space. I plan to use tents so I won't try to control the temp of the whole attic but just inside the tent. I am thinking of varying the air input depending on the ouside temperature. If it's cold then draw fresh air from the house, when it's hot pull in cold air from outside.
I am also looking at heat mats.

I guess that when the lights are on, in a tent, that low temps won't be a problem.

But high temps will. If you are vegging in summer at say 18/6 then you will have lights on during a warm sunny day (not that we get many) & your temps will be spiking all over the shop

Question: Can fabric pots reduce the temp in the grow room? I transplanted my girls this morning as the roots were starting to come through the drain holes, and since I moved them from the plastic pots to Plant!t fabric pots, the temp has dropped about a few degrees. I can even close the wardrobe door! Since I introduced the fan last week I've had to leave the door open for ventilation.

Dumbass here managed to snap one of the new leaves during the transplant, D'OH!!!!!!!!

I am monitoring my attic temps daily. I think that the key is to vary the temperature of the intake air. I have a cooler unit which I might integrate into the system.

I don't plan to start growing until the winter so I have time to work out the best solution before the summer.

I am a blow in but, in my 20 years here, I think that the Guards have one helicopter. I will view the heat signature with an infa red camera just to check.

In my situation the attic is way safer than any other option. I plan to wholesale to one or two regular customers & keep a very high security regime.

I am not going to get greedy & I will keep it small focusing on good quality.

Good woman. Don't be taking any of that shit. Just coz his mammy did it for him!

Seriously though, what is it with Irish mammies and their sons? I have 4 brothers and my mother waits on them hand and foot. She wouldn't get me a glass of tap water! Not that she'd have to, I'm well able to sort myself but the lads will actually sit there and wait for her to get it. Grown, married men waiting for mammy to take care of them... Lmao!
