The Irish Growers Thread!

When I was growing out in the garden shed I would have to the light on just for the heat and at times having a thermostatic fan heater, temps were really low..
I remember on numours occasions going out the the shed feet crunching in snow...
Waking up and looking out at the white scenery, a blanket of snow.. except my shed roof..!

I didn't know it snowed in Ireland.

Thats why I have my shed spray foamed ;-)
 
Gonna try this lighting system see how it goes! 1x 100 wt daylight bulb, 1x 40 wt daylight bulb + 1x 100wt warm white all leds. Thats blowing out 240 wts but from the wall it will be only 37 watts. What do you guys think? Don't have the money for proper leds so rolling with this. My set up will be in the shower yup the shower lol and have 3 Blackberry Gum soaking in a shot glass.

How much is your budget ? A hps of any watt will do u better
 
Very low budget! There are different types of Hps bulbs for veg an for flower so is there one that does both but not a massive wattage from the wall.

I'm not sure, might do for veg but might not be good enough for chunky big buds.
 
I know what you mean! I grew one as an experment using only a 40 watt bulb but only used from the wall 7watts. I only got 4.5 grms so thinking 5 times the wattage 5 times the grms! ? With 3 plants which the yield would be 67.5 grms. See what happens. Oh all 3 plants will be autos

All depends on your circumstances, size of your grow area and how much you want to grow.
Then decide what light you need... No point wasting your time if your not going to get the results..
Seen a 150w HPS set up at get up and grow from under 100 quid. The details raved on about how cheap it was to run.. check it out..

Any links?? The experiment wasn't even in a tent was left in the sitting room lol but this time putting all 3 in the shower, it has 3 walls which will be covered with thermol windscreen protector, the front of the shower has a glass door so when closed eveething is boxed off. Hoping the 100 watt warm white heats it as the other daylight bulbs are for pure light. I will do a test run first.

Led bulbs won't heat shit sorry buddy. Hps will do veg and flower no bother at all. The way I look at its 3montha for 5g waste of time better to do one and get 80-100g and then have smoke for a longer time. Put something under your pots tile or ceramic is cold as a witch's tit slow the root growth
 
What the craic lads, been a while! Currently running my 3 tents. Flowers rocking a 400w hps and got some blueberry cookies, star killer and alien rift in. Veg has my 4 QBs running at 300w, alien rift and an auto sour diesel. And my mother/clone tent, nursing a grumpy ar and a seriously pissed off, thinking of forming a union, tangerine dream :P
