wel lads,
your clones seem to be coming along nicely 86 and all the rest are looking very sweet aswel,
Wat light you using Dave, HPS/MH/Dual Spec.
Tied the fan up with bungee rope last night,took about 30% of the noise out of it, wil be trying the box thing during the week,goin to pack with rockwool as i have a bit lyin arond,if i get another 30% il be happy.
 
well smokey hows it goin?. you should probably wrap cling-film around the fan to stop any stuff getting inside it. do you use a fan speed controller?, i have one myself it makes a serious difference to my fan!. im using a 400 watt hps.

so fired in the first bulb today for flowering, i`ll give them a bulb a day until all 4 are in.. so they`ll be two rows of four, with each row holding a 365w 2700k and a 63w 6500k in alternateing patern..

they`ll get another dose of veg nutes on thursday, there still pretty heavy so there not thirsty yet..

flowering from today really so here we go..;)
 
ohh may also get a fan and ducting in for odour i think thats me finished with the building of it, just grow from here on in i think...
 
well you have to split it in two dave the 4 6500k for veg were 40 euro, the big 2700k for flower were 20 euro each but the lumens are through the roof;)
 
and yes turned on its side (i have them hanging traditonaly) one of my daylight bulbs could keep a plant going but id go with two for light penetration
 
so the lumens are 4715 each bulb thats just the 2700k ones don`t know what the daylight are putting out..

total so far 18860 riseing to 28290 when my other two bulbs arrive.... so how many lumens does a 400w or 600w put out?

A 400 puts out about 50k and a 600 is about 90k. HID's lose less light over distance though, so they can penetrate better.
 
Here she is, really opened up the canopy.The tops are within 3" of the reflector now and temps are 31-31* there, versus 24* a bit lower down. I'm going to have to do some serious tying down tomorrow to get this under control.

Haha, yeah I had an OG kush, but I chopped it down as it was just a shit plant, hadn't grown in a few days and was way behind this plant. Oh well, thats what happens when you try out a brand new untested strain.

have no speed controller dave,probably goin to be my next investment and might try make up a muffler, put fan in the box there a while ago.id say its about 40-50% quieter than what it was in the start, its the air moving now that i can hear,still have to run it through the air cooled reflector if it ever comes so that might take another bit out of it,
 
how big is the fan smokey? could you fit it in a sturdy box and pack the box with an old blanket of cushion or something?
