har, do you think it could be as the two strains crossed were hermi?? i can`t see how they would be fem, like the traits (genes) you know Tt in the male would make it tall,
tT in the fem would make it bushy etc....


how would they be fem seeds?? wouldn`t they or large percentage be hermi???

like if you breed a reg male with a reg fem then you get reg seeds... or is there something i`m missing or not understanding about the breeding aspect of it???

For a plant to be female it needs XX genes. For it to be male it has to have XY.

Proper feminised plants made grow male parts by colloidal silver can only produce an X gene, because it's all they have.

So if a feminised plant pops nanners, the genes arnt effected, it's a localised tissue mutation so the only possibility at fertilisation (with another feminised plant) is XX.

Hermies are a different game and you should never breed with Hermie seeds as the results are unpredictable even several generations down the line.

iv only found 3 seeds in 8 plants now as i killed the one with the one male flower.
no nanners, no male flowers and i know the these strains are different from the plants i breed them from, no light leaks, but last night i just checked again, i have been using my box for over 3 years and have had lots of grows, started with autos and moved on from there.
I do hope they are alright, but i will let you know if it does go all tits up.

in a round about way thats what i was getting at, the genes will be resiesive(spelling) on the hermi thus giveing unpredictable results, as you said even several generations down the line...

thanks for the info tho har, its still new to me this breeding stuff, the technical terms escape me at times, but i feel the same hermi and hermi arn`t good, like two wrongs don`t make a right to simplify hahahaha..

I would say once a week to change the res and then daily topups, but with 30+ litres in it, I can't see it drinking itself dry too quickly,

Only put freshly ground weed into it dave, I put hash in my first one and destroyed it, it blocks up the screen and you will never get it out. I clean it with a cotton bud and some isopropyl alcohol, cleans her up real nice.

haveing the worst run of luck with them, only got two fems out of the last lot, and as i`m hungry for a hearvest i let the two go on flowering, so out of the new batch i hope to get a couple of mothers and a couple to let stay in flower to get perpetual kinda going, as the clones will be not too far behind them, if you get me..
